Can someone confirm or elaborate on the rear tyres and wheel tubs?? I'm not starting a sh1t fight as so many others seem to want to, I couldn't really care less who does what to their rear end, I simply ask as we would like to fit some bigger tyres to Col's car, and this thing looks to have 28x10's under it. I may be mistaken, but they def look like it in the photo. Oh, and does anyone know if the diff was custom made to length with the rear wheel offset or are they off the shelf offset with stock length diff?? As we have billet axles and don't want to change the diff, but need some decent wheels. Any help appreciated, and you can pm me if you'd prefer not to post it up. Cheers........................6BOOST

From when i asked, it seems to fit any of those american wheels(convos/weld),even for a 7 inch rim, you need to shorten the diff, thats why they all have ceptors on the back, not because they have no money cheers darren

Cheers........................6BOOST You must move the inner tub back to the rail to get a 28 x 10.5" slick in there..there isn't any other way despite what some may say...... either that or make the car look like an SLR 5000 like boostn done hang the tyre out the gaurd and strentch the arch with a flare......

I spoke to Zoran for a while at Motorex and also spoke to the guys from Motortech at WSID and from memory they both said the wheel arches have not been modified.

The exterior trim tend's to never line up on VL's that have copped a respray. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks for the responses guys, good to see people taking it the right way, that I wasn't tryin to say it was mini tubbed. Of interest to everyone, one of my customers has a commo with 28x10's under the bum, and depending on your definition of mini tubbed, what he said to do was pretty simple. There is about 1" of flat steel between the inner tub and the rail. He cut that out from underneath, without cutting or touching the wheel tub itself, then simply held the inner tub back against the rail(which would be about an inch further in) and stich welded it back on. No expensive tub job, no cutting and splicing the inner tubs, just stretched it back. He then cut the shocky mount off the diff and moved it a bit, and gave the front corner where the seat belt mount is a good bash with the hammer, imagine the front inside corner right near the corner of seat. With these few little things done in the back shed, the 28x10's went under no prob. Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. And would be interested to know more about those rear wheels if anyone is friends with the owner, what the back spacing was to get them spot on like that. Cheers...................6BOOST
