finally got all the gear together to do the head gasket, decided to pull the head off with inlet and exhaust, plenum etc still on to save time gaskets paint and all that- i put a proseal, MLS gasket in and ARP head studs. also fitted gates timing belt, did oil change, coolant belts blah blah. very happy with how the internals looked too, pistons still look like new, bores still have hone marks and head has double valve springs (score) head still dead straight and old gasket only blew between number 6 and a coolant gallery so no milk to clean out YAY anyways took it for a drive tonight for the first time in wait for it 6 YEARS and its awesome 1st, 2nd, 3rd = two big black strips and rev limiter even half throttle at 80kms in 3rd gear lights em up. cant wait to get some radials on this baby and hit the track 11s here we come (hopefully) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Mean build.. 1000's of grueling hours, well worth the end result! Don't part with it. You would be insane after all this work.
