And Paul, if you wanna go out for a fish I can lend you a reel or something, I seem to keep buying them when I don't need to...
hehehehe i think alot of fisher man have that issue mate, i wanna buy a shimano baitrunner reel, but the ones they have here in oz good but they cost like 200 buxs but the reel i wanna get is a shimano 10000 baitrunner which is the best shimano baitrunner reel u can get. so i am saving up for that which i have to import obviously and also which is the same price as the baitrunners sold here in oz
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
I just recently bought a 6500 Baitrunner for the upcoming kingy season...
Cost me 290 bucks plus 80 bucks worth of braid to fill the spool, but with a 10 year warranty you can't complain about the price...
It is deadset the best reel I have ever used, industrial strength...

well the ones in oz are the 3500, 4500 and 6500 but if u like the 6500 then u would love the 10000 series
LOL I'm gald I don't have to worry about reels and stuff !!! Got one of those Shimano combo's for $100 its okay that about it ,
By the way the charter supplies all the gear for the fishing trip we\re planning !!

Yeh I've seen the 10000 series but they're too heavy for what I need...
If I was going fishing for tuna or doing some hardcore deep water jigging then I would have gone bigger but the 6500 is big enough and heavy enough for the fishing I do...
If you can, try and find a baitrunner thunnus (pretty sure that's what they're called) they're the older baitrunners and they are indestructible, but becoming very hard to find...
Another option is the Penn 850, a fucking unit of a reel, but doesn't have the baitrunner function...
Ok sweet, never knew the 10000 was bigger and heavier then the 6500. i think the best size reel for my rod will be the size of the 4500. but will run a search on wat u said and see wat i can find.
is the baitrunner thunnus a shimano unit
Yeh man, its just a shimano baitrunner but it's the previous model, it's a hell of a lot better than the current ones because it's got an all metal body, it's farking sturdy...
I'm pretty sure the 10000 is bigger than my 6500, but don't quote me as I don't work for shimano...
I ended up getting the new series because it was too hard to find a thunnus and I wanted it NOW...
Ok let this Gay Weather Get a bit better and we can go for a Fish at the spit bridge at night, Last yr i made it religion to go every friday and sat night and just fish till like 3-4 in the morning, Nice sized fish there
ive fished there before and got nothing except a few medium sized tailor butmill give it a go.
narrabeen lakes have the biggest flathead ive ever seen,on any given day with the rights/jig/baits theres no reason why you shouldnt get a flathead up to 70cm in length.
plenty of whiting and bream but you need blood worms to get em.
idealy if you have bring a small tinny and go right up into the lake towards the left hand side and try to reel in a lizard(big flathead)
im located at the nearest bar drinking scotch n coke but you can find me in coogee, surry hills and dolls point when i finish the renovations, wanna buy it,2 bedda on the beach, mates rates.(its all hairstyles, now fitted with a bar, theatre room.
i went fishing this afternoon at wanda(cronulla beach) couldnt get any live yellowtail so i bought some squid, didnt get any big hits but the bream were chomping away.
anyways im psyched so im taking the boat out in the morning and try my luck for flathead, breams on the drift...if i get any ill post the pics up.
