21-09-05, 09:13 GMT+10#103 Tarek you assumed incorrectly. The a.f.m regardless where you place it still senses air going thru the pipes. Some people say its no good some people say its better, some people say its not recommended. I have had no problems with the a.f.m on the piping on any of our cars/kits. Ive actually had better results on the dyno (2kw difference by just having the a.f.m on the piping). I have come to the conclusion that the a.f.m senses the denser and cooler air flowing through after the intercooler has done its job, hence telling the computer to supply a slight bit more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming into the cylinders. 2kw is not much but it is something. Hope this clarifies things in a way.
Cheers

21-09-05, 09:38 GMT+10#104 Thanks for the answer mate
With regards to EPA, i've had this thrown at me with regards to VICTORIAN customers, that you can either have a cooler or AIRPOD, is this correct????
Thanks

21-09-05, 09:52 GMT+10#105 In a way that is correct. Going by EPA rules and regulations for Victoria it states that a vehicle is only allowed to have one intake modification carried out on it.Regardless of that modification. So really any vehicle, in our case VL's are only allowed to have eighter a pod filter or an intercooler legally. Not both.

05-10-05, 14:54 GMT+10#109 Im interested in obtaining a cooler piping kit to suit no air/con, pod filter and retaining the factory air flow meter posisition.
Have you ever had problems with spark jumping across to the cooler pipes that beeing so close to the distributor?
Does the cooler outlet pipe to the t/body interfer with the plastic air dam under the radiator?
Thanks

Hi,
WE can make up a kit to suit your needs,
No problems with spark jumping to the cooler piping unless your spark plug shielding is stuffed there should be no problem.
Also plastic airdams need to be removed or cut as it does interfere with the piping.
cheers
WE no longer supply black hoses. The interest hasnt been to great. All will come with blue silicon hoses from now on..
$850.00

Marc is correct.
AFM in the piping will not pass EPA test even if you have the standard airbox etc in place.

07-10-05, 10:19 GMT+10#113 Platnum - WE can install the plenum for you if you like thats not a problem and then make the piping to suit. At least you wont have to tow it down here you know. Ive installed a couple of jd's plenums on a couple of cars and I must say they are very easy to fit and look smick as in the engine bay you will be pleasd......

07-10-05, 19:51 GMT+10#115 Turbowagn- we dont keep them in stock. WE actually make them up on a per order basis. You would be looking at about a week to receive piping kit once payment is made. I prefer direct deposit into my bank account of which the details can be found on my main thread jspec automotive. The cost of this kit delivered is $850.00
For everyone just a reminder.... All our kits can be run with/without aircon. With pod on the piping or in the original position. With or without airbox.
cheers

Siktrixx- Im pretty sure our normal kit will suit. When you say 600 X 300 is that end to end or is it 800 end to end. If it is one of those big coolers then yes we do and our standard kit will suit your cooler. Let me know the overall dimensions of you cooler.
Cheers
