yes pay like $1400 for the comp sic one with a few different loadable tunes as i did.
umm sx rising rate
some upgraded injectors
head work
now 13psi.
a fully sic bov which has been tossed now.
and yeah it kicks the typhoons down the 1/4, well it beats them.
stock cooler ,massive exhuast,
5sp manual
only thing is it aint registered at the moment i was broke and sold half of the car basically,to a very good mate from work and we are considering taking the big step and modifying this car mainly for the strip once it cracks a decent time she will be back on the road tuned down of course lol.

I know it had a twin plate clutch they had harmonic problems with and that's why they stopped making them.

In regards to the tremec debate, tremec actually manufactures the box to suit differrent applications and although the same box, the T56 used in an Aston Marton is very different to those found in the dodge Vipers, Fords, Chryslers and Holdens.....

haha, that's gold!
Anyone remember the story on Today Tonight regarding the $100k Holden GTS that went back to Holden over 15 times, and included several rebuilds? Imagine that poor *******, ha.
Best lemon I've seen though, would have to be : http://www.madazz.com/
He stands outside the Mazda Dealership in Geelong every weekend, holding that sign. Teaches him right for buying a bitches car.

the cooler is 50% larger, and 50% more boost, and that bs clutch.. thats all I know of difference.. oh and fancy kits.
it comes with a boost gauge too in the HSV style binnacle, which doesn't even have numbers on it, what the **** is with that. so you can see that your on boost, in case you couldnt feel it.
Ford6 + turbo is a good idea, but they rushed it, I'd take a VZ SS till then, they are animals, driven a few.

i'm a bit of a ford man but can accept the fact that holden have kicked ford most of the places you look.
but holden lost out. back when the xr6t was released, hsv had the xu6. the supercharged v6. remember that? holden could have wound up the boost on the xu6, but instead decided to drop it alltogether. come on boys. no wonder the xr6t has been a big seller. holden have no equivalent model.
i drove a vx clubsport a few years back and it sounded like crap. we had to get on the road and floor it before we knew it was an eight. i hope that holden has improved the sound of the ls2 coz the ford v8s sound nice...
yep, i'd like to see what a worked xr6t is capable of. 10's shouldn't be too hard, APS did it with their stage 3 kit and an auto box.

give credit where its due, its a sick car with a great motor and a 700hp turbo, meaning with bolt ons these babies could make 350rwkw+ b4 u need to change turbos.
Big comfy cruiser and quick when u want it, id love one!! especially in black

To me XR6Ts are fords modern version of a VLT.
I heard one the other day and I thought it was a VL.
I honestly dont see what the big deal is about XR6Ts I mean their just a typical straight 6 Falcon with a Turbo whoopy doo.
Ford should've released a turboed XE-XF back when Holden released the VLT that would've made a good competitive sales battle. But no Ford deicided to make a Turbo Falcon in 2003(Or was it 2004?) apart from the turboed engine what the hell is so great about XR6Ts?.
IMO no matter how fast or good a 6 sounds it will be nothing like a V8.
XR8>XR6T

you thought a xr6t was a vlt? i heard a xr6t, nothing special, but definitely not vlt.
hehe a xf turbo would have lasted as far as it took to get it off the dealer floor. i reckon that why holden went turbo for the rb30, it could actually hold together.
which is faster, xr8 or xr6t? i heard they very close...

I knew it was a XR6T but it sounded like a VLT.
Lets think about it for a second if we took a Futura and a XR6T to a drag and took the turbo off the XR6T it would be a a even a even race.
Lets face it XR6Ts are just like any other Falcon (Except the XR8) the only thing that makes it different if the Turbo bolted on it other then that they look like all the other Falcons (Im speaking of XTs,Futuras etc).
I think Ford should've went with a jap 6 turbo atleast when Holden released the VLT it had a unique engine as it was the first Australian RWD turbo ever made and its taken Ford almost 20 years to come up with a Turbo 6 of their own.
Ford should've had a Turbo Falcon to compete with the VLT way back in 1986.

this thread sounds SO much like something i should be reading on some ****house import forum populated mainly by magazine-educated 15 year olds.
READ THIS: Its not just xr6ts that have probs, GT's and GTPs etc all do, thats often what happens when you introduce an all new platform quickly, GOD DOES NO ONE REMEMBER THE SERIES 2 VT COMMODORE SS?? The first LS1s were in those and they had so many problems, but now everone has forgotten that because since then most of the probs have been weeded out (most). The same will happen with the xr6t and typhoon (yes the clutch problem has already been solved with the tornado ute).
Iv always been a holden man purely because being only 18 iv grown up with the ****test falcons ever to be built (AU anyone?), but even I can admit that not only is the xr6t a very good concept and a fairly well executed one but also that holden has had just as many problems! Performance cars are often like that with technology! GOD LOOK AT MERCEDES!! They and land rover are now near the bottom of the reliability scale, technology often does this, but as i said before, these problems are generally easily solved (small electronics etc).
My 2c (and it should be worth yours to!)

ps. 4 litres of straight 6 with a GT turbo powering the rear wheels CANNOT be bad, no matter what way you look at it hehe

Couldnt that be the same with most turbocharged cars? whats so special about a VL Turbo? its just a Straight 6 With a turbo..
Why should they have gone a jap turbo motor? I think they have done a pretty damn good job with the one they have got..
come on guys, as many people have said, holden has had their share of problems with cars over the years..
They have so much potential. yes V8s sound better.. i have a video somewhere of my LS1M6 racing my brothers 6 speed XR6T and i can definatly tell you what sounds better..
There has probably been similar threads on the ford forums regarding new holdens etc... but as matt said some of the stuff said in this thread is pretty lame...
*edit* just thought i would add, i wasnt knocking VL Turbos, just stating a point

I'd probably buy an XR8 or SS before a Turbo Falcon. But one thing that's impressive, is the amount of torque they can get from that turbo inline 6.
TORQUE
Ford F6 Typhoon, Turbo i6 : 550Nm from 2,000rpm to 4,500rpm
Holden SV6000, GENIV LS2 6.0ltr : 530Nm @ 4,400rpm.
550Nm of torque is a sh1t load, let alone having it available at 2,000rpm!
