Yeah alright tim, could be awhile though. I was thinking it'd cost me about 2-3 for a decent glide, keeping in mind I already have the shifter, transcooler, crossmember (but itd obviously have to be modified abit), tailshaft, which is already a custom one piece, but it'll obviously need a new yoke to the gearbox. However if it'll hold 1200 hp, and do a 7 second pass, then i'd probs be willing to spend the extra money. It'd still be reasonably streetable wouldn't it blue_vl_t? Will be keeping everyone informed on progress. At the moment im still waiting on my gearbox to be built, hopefully will be done for next weekend. Dean

alright here are the pics of my torana with the grill on as promised. and here is a pic of the water sprayers I rigged up the other day while bored! Let me know what you guys think. I've also just added a reverse a9x scoop to the bonnet to cover up the hole where the bug catcher used to stick out. Looks alot neater. Pics of that will hopefully be up tomorrow. Of course the block will be machined to make em fit. I was just going to 308 +40. But the 304 came out with a better crank. Man if I had the cash I would buy both, but xmas, rebuild ect. How about just 1 complete? No probs with frieght, Northline freight should be close to you? hey i think u should do some more research on your holden v8s 253 and 308 r dif blocks 308 has much larger bore size around 4inch rods heads etc same crank same stroke but 308 stronger and both balance differently. as 4 the na jatco box it will handle the power u r talkin about as 250 - 300 hp isnt really alot but as mentioned earlier u wiil want more eventually and the trans wont handle it. y go auto go an r33 5 spd it will handle wht i imagine u will ever throw at it and the manual will make the reasonably light torana a lot more fun and driveable. the turbo sounds quite large for the power u r lookin at and will prob have heaps of lag. the std turbo plenum although small and restrictive will wrk well enough at that power. things to think about r power u want later. the intercooler, computer, fuel systems etc. fuel u will hav 2 look at straight as u r goin from na to turbo a bosch motor sport 040 pump will fine. nice car tho good idea loosin the wheels

yeah get the grill outta there, its a hotted up torrie its gonna get attention no matter what happens let alone with wastegates and turbos screaming gotta love all that room there for a cooler, im guessin there would be heaps of space in the engine bay too... The Torana made 170rwkws on 10 psi yesterday with only two small runs on the dyno before the clutch fan decided to nick the radiator and send water everywhere, however it will be fixed today and ready for another ramp up... I hoping for between 180-190 kws. Peter then wants me to iron all the bugs out with the car and cruise around with this power for awhile, then i'll install my surge tank, put an extra 7 pound spring in the wastegate and go for another tune, which should give me a much higher figure At least it is finally up and running, its been awhile!!! I reckon put the grille back on too Dean. Just makes it look so much neater. Hides the huge gaps on the sides of the intercooler.
