john, i was testing a few things today in relation to moving the power steering pump, and i discovered that it is very easy to move the whole pump down. the bracket it sits on has 3 bolts, you remove these and the ones holding the pump to the bracket, and the bracket can be shifted down to the bottom of the block, and bolted into the existing holes for the air con bracket! the best part is, there's enough room for the pump down there, and although you can only bolt on two of the three bolts (a third hole is absent down there) it still lines the belt up PERFECTLY with the crank pulley! this is going to make my setup a whole lot easier to do, as i will have all the room from dizzy to the top of power steering (now VERY low on the block) to mount the blower. just a thought if anyone out there wants to sacrifice air con but not power steering to do this mod!

haha man bugger the respray, just keep it as a street sleeper! nobody respects the dodgy-paint-job-VL until you rip them off the line in a cloud of smoke and a supercharger whistle!

no pinging, timing is at 17 deg Im going to source an intercooler for it, just to be safe.. any suggestions?

1. make it small! a large intercooler with large piping will create lag for your blower, something you don't want! 2. make it good! no chopped-up truck cores or anything gay like that. 3. a front mount might be a little too..... police-attracting for your needs? a small cooler mounted in the wheel well may suit your purposes? just a suggestion, as a front mount would work better, more efficient. just watch the sizing and everything, cause the blower (being small) might take a while to "fill" the cooler and pipes up if they're large.

give turbo6 (brendan) a pm , he will be able to hook u up with a little one off an import. he has a few coolers laying around , which would be sizeable for ur needs.

The main pully is off a old Alfa GTV 105......good luck finding one of those.... I tension it useing the top cross brace. The whole blower is on a tilt system, as the engine tilts due to counter torque, the blower moves with it.....since ther is no forwards/backwards movement of the blower this system works fine..... I would prefer the blower mounted on the engine block, but is just not possible at that time I'm currently working on a semi-universal Toyota SC14 blower bracket for Nissan engines (L, CA, E (I think) and RB) to put in my Clubmans (400kg streetlegal gocart.....bwahahaha my pet VLT/jap/V8 destroyer) engine.....CA18DE stroked out to 2L with a SC14...sweet! th same bracket should work on the VL aswell The whole system cost me around $400 to build, also I have a small S13 Silvia intercooler, that would fit quite well between the blower and AFM, but then it sits above the exhaust manifold....hrm.....I've gotta thikn of some ducting sytem.... Since those pics were taken the car got written off by a old uninsured sigma driving f**kwit and rebuilt (new body)....the SC motor is out getting a freshen up (spun bearing...doh! new bearings and rings) new blower mounts being fabricated, the Power stearing pump is being relocated (aka Stormys method), the XF throttlebody is being bored out + a water injection system being installed and the large air con compressor being replaced by a smaller Alfa Romeo unit.....This should allow me to fit the blower rite on the block and keep my power staering and aircon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

how unbearable are the effects of having the throttle body mounted after the blower with a manual vl

Does anyone think that a plumback BOV would work in well. sending the compressed air back to the intake pipe.

i think it would work well, so long as your AFM wasn't near it, especially just behind it. but i think john001 i just a ricer boy, it's obvious he didn't really need a BOV but wanted the ricey "pssssht" noise Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
