How is replacing a tired engine with a newer one being a dreamer? people do it all the time. And its not like i'm trying to put like a RB26DETT in the thing.... its only gonna be a VT SS Engine, with maybe a 5spd Getrag.

No Series 1 VT SS engines were the 304 Injected 5L engines. And that will be what i'll drop in IF they want too much for the supercharged six. Personal preference anyway would be the 5L... there wouldn't be many (if any) 5L Lexcens around.

Yeah but when you consider that its a lexcen with a commodore front end, and needs like $1200 spent for an interior... (no way in hell would i sell it like it is) i'd only really get $5000 for it MAX with it cleaned up take $1200 off that i'm left with $3800 plus another $4000 for the engine... really doesn't seem worth doing when i'll only come out with $8000 roughly to spend. Basically put, the worst thing i could have ever done was buy a Lexcen, closely followed by putting a commodore front end on, then followed by exploding a Dulux factory all over my interior... YES, i have seen the light, but there is **** all i can do about it.

$1200 clean up? how many bottles of windex will you buy dude? i say, get it cut and polished by a buffer, do it urself if you know what your doing or get it done, then get someone to cut 1 or 2 rings out of ur springs, this will lower it abit to a nice level, rather than the monster truck look its got now, then get some "amerall" (sorry its late i cant spell and i cant be fcuked going out the back to look at the bottle) clean all plastics with like an interior cleaner with that amereall sh|t go over any plastics, interior, floor sills, and dash, get some mag wheel cleaner and go over sills at bottom of car (black) to clean them up and then go over them with the amerall sh|t i dunno how much it is to get a professional to cut and polish a car but excluding that price ur looking at about 50-80 bucks worth of cleaning sh|t and a good 2-3 days of cleaning by then u should have a reasonable lexen that might add a bit more value to a sale, me typing all this u should have got the point im saying sell the b|tch... if u can ...

Dude... have you seen page one? every door card, and lower part of the dash has been sprayed. It needs a complete new interior.

fair enough man, but u can always find something to clean, and from those pictures i wouldnt say the car is in showroom nick ... so clean her up with the 50-80 bucks worth of cleaning sh|t, high pressure wash the car, cut and polish paint, cut springs a bit and uve got a nice car ... sorta :P

Nobody said it was in showroom nick... there's a few nicks and chips in it all over the show. It really needs a respray but couldn't be bothered when they're only little chips.

im not saying it is in showroom nick, all im saying is that if you put some time into cleaning(exterior) it up it might look shmick get some touch up paint for the stone chips from ur local holden dealer or toyota, should be about $50 and then get the cut and polish done

u know , i can always bring the buff etc home from work ,and i am qualified in the feild of painting etc so i know how to use it , mind u my car is first inline before anyone elses.

just a query guys....hav a look at the pics in on the very first page, u see the passenger guard is a VS guard, but the drivers guard is a lexcen guard, kinda looks like a stato guard, u can see where little lip of the bumper should go but it covers the headlight a bit!!!

you could get 2nd hand door trims, etc for a few hundred bucks.. let me know exactly wat you need and theres a good possibility that i can get it for nothing.. i will be on the gold coast on the 22nd nov.. let me know asap...

oh, just ring up one of those people who do paint repairs, there is a guy in glbn who does it, DUCOMAJIC its called, its all over oz..he did my mates ZX and it looks great, was only 150 for all stone chips, scratches etc to be removed.. you cant tell that they where even there.. you can get a set of 4 lowered springs for about 230... or just go on ebay and get spring compressors for 60bucks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
