I'd like to know where my cooler was hiding the whole time on my VL. Where exactly is this 'standard' VL Turbo intercooler located anyway?

Yep your right that finned thing on the crossover pipe is officially ( named in the G.M. turbo manual as well) an air to air intercooler. So as i have said every VLT is intercooled. Points actually go to the moderator on the previous page that picked it: RB3 747 ??? So don't bag me, bag Holden and Nissan because they designed, named and put it there and that's what it is.

Congratulations......Yep you do win and easily I seriously expected Turboluke, Carcrazy or HSVSUX to answer this one first but I'm sure they could have. The intercooler is pictured and named in the actual General Motors VL Service Manual Supplement for the 3.0ET engine. Can't argue with that!

Or do you think Holden got it wrong when they produced the manual?

Let's track down these Nissan engineer's and beat the **** out of them for making us dispute their error

Look at the bright side, now we can all say that our VLTs are intercooled even if they don't have a fridge hanging off the front! :P I'll try and get a mate to scan the GM manual and post the page with the pic up soon.

All I know is that an "INTERcooler" actually needs air to pass through it - hence inter=internal/interior. aus880, you're a f*cken wally mate. You and ppl like you really sh*t me off. There really is only one other type of F*CKWIT like you, and that would be the nice police officer who argues the same lame ass things as you, and then fines/canaries you for it. Go become a cop and join ppl like you and stop wasting our time.

I could have sworn that intake air does pass through the crossover pipe. :?: But you must be right and Nissan and General Motors got it wrong. 8O Still can't understand why you actually get angry over something as unimportant.
