3x SV88s that I know of in SA. 1st -my uncle in laws SV88 was always at his business ABS brakes, EDWARDSTOWN, SA but got stolen several times and the last time it was burnt out and insurance company sold it at auction in the late 1990's early 2000's. 2nd sv88 was always parked at business on Brodie Road LONSDALE SA, business was an Earth moving or sand and metal business and I heard that he was the owner of the business and the sv88, have not seen the car there since about 2005-2010. 3rd SV88 was at another business - Southern timber supplies at O'sullivan beach road, LONSDALE SA and the business owner was also the owner of the SV88 and he parked it there during the week and on weekends but I have not seen that there since about 2014. A 4th one I had seen in carport of a house in a culdersac road in WOODCROFT SA but it may have been one of the business owners home address as it was local to the southern area of SA and only about 10 minutes from the LONSDALE businesses. I don't know the body number of any of them. I always wanted an SV88 but I purchased a factory tuxedo black V8 VL Calais sedan which is more rarer so I'm not complaining.

One bonus was that on one occasion when the SV88 was stolen and recovered my uncle gave me the rear lip boot spoiler for my Calais as he was getting a replacement one. Its now painted black and on the boot of my VL Calais.

His number plates are currently for sale on Gumtree SA (approx June/July2018) as he has sold the car. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Such a shame to see an SV88 get like the above pictures that Calaist5 has posted. I checked out the full advert on Gumtree and the whole car is a sorry state, looks like it was pretty ordinary when it was put in storage and that is probably why only the interior stuff was stolen. Would be good to see someone buy it and rebuild it, I'd hate to see an SV88 never see the road again. My uncle in law in SA had his SV88 stolen several times and the last time it was recovered the insurance company paid him out and sold the remainder of the car at auction, not sure if it ever got back on the road. I always wanted one but unfortunately never had the funds for one. I missed a great one in a car yard in SA back in early 2000's for about $14000 and it was immaculate. Most of the one's that come up for sale now are very expensive. Not sure if the guy selling the SV88 in the advert listed above would actually get $30k for what he has left of the car to sell.

Again in my opinion only I think you could buy one turn key for 50? Thoughts?

True - a sale like that may only be a sentimental one or someone that wants the freedom to spend money intermittently.
