This is getting the 632ci BBF and two of the biggest turbos I've ever seen right now. Ran 6.60 @ 217mph with 2 x GT47's on a 400ci SBF.

no offence to c&v but how is that even impressive when gas motor sport/titan are doing it with 1 turbo and 3.2 lt and 2 less cylinders
ohh and the upgrade is due to blowing the old motor up isnt it ? amazing looking car yes impressive not really...

And GAS/TITAN run twice the amount of boost. Put's it all into perspective.
The quickest turbo small block is Andy Jensen's Camaro (single turbo), which has run 5.95@243mph.

i no that camaro isnt it the fastest turbo powerd car in the wrorld?
so putting it into perspective it runs less boost probs 4 to 5 times the lt and still blows up ??

The Mustang was always going to get the big block. In fact, the car was built with both a big block and small block in mind. Rob has had the motor tucked away in his shed for many, many months just waiting for the small block to kick the bucket.
As for blowing the motor up, it was pretty spectacular but that's what you get when you run so many 7.1-6.6sec/197-217mph passes on the same crank. They have a lifespan and it was clearly exceeded (more than 3 years of racing). It was mechanical fatigue (crankshaft failure) and not tuning failure that led to the engine kicking the bucket.
I can't wait to see what the team can do with the BBF.

im not trying to say the tunner is rubbish nothing like that at all
i would just like australia to be home of the fastest turbo powerd car in the world cv help the aus record for a while then gas motor sport snacked it and most of the cars in gas stable have now beat the mr mad record and with a reported/printed 2500hp id like to know why mr mad has not got it back yet?? or is it the chassis ??

A lot is the chassis. You'll never really get a back-halved car to sixty sub-1.000

the car hammers! to run 6.60 is huge in any car.. if its the engine thats been in the car for 3 years that broke then i dont think c&v will spew cause they didnt build it, i think the car came to the shop for c&v to maintain.. i saw a vid of the car getting tuned and con was watching the car from outside and someone else was tuning it as well so i dont think c&v will be spewing that it broke. if it went 6.60 with the sbf then the big block should push the envelope with the lynch crew in the states. I reckon the car looks better than gas's celica for sure

the torana is short wheel base and shaped like a house brick, the celica is long, low and slippery.
of course its going to be areodynamically challenged which is going to effect the MPH.
also, you do now that GAS and TITAN are two seperate businesses and are in no real way connected, other then NERO sells all his old **** to GAS.

well did the car improve once the titan boys made some adjustments to the rear end ??
see im a beliver in paying homage to everybody that has helped someone to there pb
and as for mr mad i agree its shaped like a brick **** house! BUT look at ivans rx3 how much power is that making lets just say 1500 for a round about figure..its gone 7.0 and has 1000 less hp? i no ivan has gone 6.7 like 3 years ago so where is all the extra power going???

yea if eric didnt come over and done the rear end up they would probably still be stuck running 6.6. what im trying to say is at times it appears that the general public think that GAS are top fiddle and TITAN is second fiddle when its the other way around, they went 6.4 6 years ago on a 91 mm turbo, not the 94mm these guys are running.
i would suggest with your ivan skaramuca vs ivan tesic comment, ivans rx3 would be a lot lighter then ivans torana. a rotary engine block any half decent bloke can lift un assisted, i havent ever seen some one lift a v8 un assisted, unless of course then hand is attached to an engine crane. adrian is probably more able to comment but i would think there would have to be at least an 800 pound difference. there would easy be 100 pounds difference between 2 turbos to 1. near on another 80 pounds in 2 exhausts manifolds to 1.
800 pounds is easy 8 tenths minimum.
done get me wrong, im a 2j man through and through, i also love the rotaries, but the v8's have a destinct wieght penalty although they have the horsepower advantage
