Update….. Well after so long of saving and paying off I Picked up a major part of the VL……… Got my TO4 Turbo and my Manifold with a 38mm TurboSmart External Waste Gate, I’m hoping this Weekend they will make their way onto the car……. Once it’s on all I need is the Front pipe which will be a 3” Pacemaker one, Some Fluids and a Tank of Petrol and it shouldn’t be too far from being able to turn ova and fire……. Well today after work and after having a little sleep, i went out to the car to do some work......... Was going to put the turbo onto the manifiold up untill i came to my 1st little problem....... The turbo is just a little too big and hits a tab thing on the manifold, its and easy fix just rip out the grinder and grind away........ so ill borrow a grinder from my mate tomorrow and i will fix it. took some pic's of it..... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

so its got both an internal and external gate lol. if grinding it down still doesnt give you enough clearance a small spacer plate on the manifold will do the trick

just remove the hose from the turbo to the actuator and leave it there

would that block the hole up on the back of the turbo if i left to acuator still connected?? but just run the hose to the external instead of the internal one?

Hey all, Well I got what I wanted to get done today, diff is out of the VL and Stripped, Diff centre is out of the housing ready to be taken to a diff place to get the spool put in. the 25 Spline axels are out and 28 Spline axels will be replacing them, Ill still be running the original diff gears which are 3.45.1.. Cleaned the inside of the diff to see if there were any metal shavings and all is good Still got to wash the diff down so it can get painted and reassembled. Drum Brakes No longer exist on my car Drum Brake all Gone. Idea of the difference between the Axels Diff is out. Cleaning up in the Housing Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

G-day all, I managed to get a little bit done to the VL to day b4 it started to rain.......... So after the 1st attempt of going to put the diff in and failing (instead dropping it on my hand and putting me in hospital) my 2nd attempt was more successful, I got the Diff painted and while that was dryin i fitted my new cooler piping. She's coming together nicely now, only a few little things left. I also brought some little things which are a boost controller and a electronic turbo timer. Boost controller Turbo timer Cooler piping Diff before it was painted and after. New lower contorl arms ---------- Post added 25-04-10 at 16:53 ---------- Hey all, Today i got the diff back into the car so its no longer a Drum back end i Now have a disc back end. I also ran all the wires ready for the Monster Tacho to be put in and the Guages to be mounted on the bonnet. Here's some pic's. Cheers. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
