this is this afternoon work still waiting for dress rims and upper arms and adjustable panhard rod to arrive in mail. but i put in new trailing arms and bushes in,springs and bushes in,shocks and bushes in,sway bar and bushes in, non-adjustable panhard rod is in only because the whole diff was out of place trailing arms wouldnt line up flush niether would the pan hard rod so its on there till new one comes to keep it all aligned for now. and guess what my car actully BOUNCES! now. omfg! but no engine or trans in yet so the front still sits high as but back is nice and low on ceptors! lol. cant wait for dress rims to finish off the look, but still in the pics the car is dirty as **** so many ****z touchin it with dirty hand and its startin to stain the paint a bit. and the back right door is missing its door mould i have one for it but its not white its silver and needs to be painted and the door has no clear coat has been sand off the door from previous owner. And with all the boot and the rust im getting another VL 5 speed manual no rust all stiraght but its silver and for $200. and i also started stripping all old window tint and puttin on the new 25% ill get some pics up soon too. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

good stuff +5 that your doing it yourself, (hates seeing cars in magazines where the owners have done no work on it themselfs then calling it there work of art). yer the boot has a lot of surface rust hows the repairs going on that, couldnt tell much by the puctures but was it eaten away much near the buttom of the tail lights? you doing cut pieces for the boot channel? other then the epic boot rust ( which i gather was from not seeling the tail lights in) its all common rust areas and if you got a mate who knows what hes doing it will turn out all good goodluck with the rest of your build. This is when i turned it into a project Here is when i first got it !! car sits lower now with the new bushes and shocks in the back, cant wait to see how fornt sits with all trans and engine in. if the rust wasnt that bad i would of suggested that you get in the with the wirebrush maybe a drill with a wire head till its bare metal or as good as you can get it wash the boot in turps wipe off and let it dry. Then lots and lots of rust converter give that 3 days sitting Or Till its bone Dry. Then Get Rust converter Primer and give it 2 coats then get fiberglassputty for all the little holes as that wont hold water unlike bog and just rust around it causing a larger hole. then get the oxy cutter out and cut holes around the bigger holes and get some metal peices ready to weld back in place then a little more rust converter and primer around where you do this. With the rest get rust converter Stage 3 the thick black paint and paint 1 or 2 coats depending on how fussy you arei did 2. When thats done i would use a body deadner or tar and do the rest of your boot in it. . But if your fussed treat the rust you already have there and dont worry about filling it up and just buy a floor pannel for about $270 off Rarespares and get that welded in good luck man its a job and a half. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

cut the boot out lol if its that bad man its not worth fixing dont forget that the structual integrity of the car will save your pasengers in the rear and if its that easy to put a hole thru i would cut my losses and start another shell. you might be able to get a calais shell for around $800 and just chuck the stuff you got on that vl to the other :/

Bump thinking of colours to spray the vl, does VY HOTHOUSE METALLIC GREEN . look good on vl's? or was thinkin candy apple top with astroid silver calais bottom with calais body conversion? cause im not into vl aftermarket body kits (walky, group A, etc etc) and i reckon they look filth with stock body kits.
