Car is fixed and apparently running awesome. $5500 worth of repairs to get her back up and running. Almost everything in the fuel system from the tank all the way up to the injectors / plugs and slightly beyond was replaced or cleaned. I'm disappointed at MOTORPLEX / Motorvation 23 organisers. After several phone calls leaving messages for Peter Pike, he NEVER returned any of my calls nor emails regarding the incident. BLOODY UNPROFESSIONAL F@KW_T!! Even during the show this same bloke, lets call him "The Phantom" (the ghost that walks) was completely uncontactable. So this year I have quite of work planned for the car but I'm in two minds whether I put her on public show ever again.

So there was no engine damage? That's really bad about not getting any calls from the plex at all. Glad that your car is running properly now, pitty about the $5500... Is insurance paying that?

As for fuel test. The assessor just looked at the murky samples from the 3 containers and inspected car, talked to Briffa and approved it on the spot. No testing required. I gotta love Shannons for understanding what needed to be done to fix her. Very disappointed with the PLEX. You'd think re-sending the same message daily 3 days straight would get their attention. Then the messages left for the very absent Peter Pike.
