John from Rotomotion got onto me and I gave him a very detailed description of what procedure to follow along with links on it to obtain great results. For the benefit of others I will include the link of the type of testing here > http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1590 (it's a little different but the principles are similar, key points for young players are different mixture rates, volumes, ignition types, plug gaps, timing values, AFR targets and most importantly measured performance.) This should be conducted on each and every install, you will see the best WI minds in the world on that site (not including myself there!) but lots of knowledge on there across all kinds of topics, for an On-Line "resource" its a good stepping point to gain some fundamental underpinning knowledge. Not the be end and all but basics are covered at a laymans level. I am not as available as I was before (too busy teaching for a living nowadays) but mostly if you want some other info its best to E-Mail me directly and I will respond when time allows or if I have time to get onto forums that are not gay or run by computer clerk geek know it all's .

Ollie went 10.0 at 133 off the foot brake in street trim a few weeks ago with E85 and WI. Dyno actually showed less power than previous tunes however it must have been the tyres or something as definately making a lot more power. 6BOOST

Be interesting to know how much water he injected whilst using the e85 cheers darren

I think about 140ml for a flat 10 second pass Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Olli, your thoughts of a meth mix? tried any mixes or just water?

in most cases e85 isnt knock limited at such 'low' power levels, and is supposed to have much better cylender cooling than normal unleaded. would be interesting to see e85 with water vs e85 without. would imagine there would be a whole lot of difference?

we did E85 v's E85 with water... just a bit of a shame the tyres were playing around on the dyno.. and while all this was going on my highest power reading on 30psi E85 with water was still less than my best on E85 alone on 26psi on a previous trip to the same dyno.... lol Daz, yeh I think to be honest I could possibly take more.. Ignition has been sweet as with the ICE coil and new set of ICE leads.. not even the slightest hint of breakdown... Matty.. I've only used straight water.. the water injection probably doesn't so much add power on its own... but would be more similar to like an intercooler where it gives you alot more headroom before you're limited by something else again.. (most likely ignition).. if that makes sense.. probably makes my whole package even more efficient as a whole.. I'm sure there would be more power to be unleashed gettin tricky with meth mixes and stuff, but i've maxxed out my map sensor for now... so someone else can get into it.. there is some pretty good reading in the link Pete from Rice Racing posted a bit further up the page.. lots to learn.. im sure we'll do some more experimenting in the near future.. might really be able to see how fast a standard rod can do the 1/4 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You don't run a mix of water and meth pre turbo as far as I am aware and my research has led me, because during compression thru the impeller, the methanol evaporates far easier and doesn't improve the adiabatic efficiency as much (basically, how efficient a process the compression part of the process is). So water on its own pre turbo works better for this reason, you don't actually want it to evaporate so easily. Post turbo would bea different story. I wonder if you could do water pre turbo, and meth post turbo and have the best of both worlds? 6BOOST

Interesting, i have only read about people using straight meth and injecting pre-turbo and post turbo at the same time, but not with water or both as kyle pointed out. Thats sweet with those water injection rates Ollie, i will just leave my system set up how it was before and go from there. was just looking at supraforums and seen this new failsafe gauge from AEM, wonder if its any good, hopefull better than there CDI's..lol http://www.aemelectronics.com/water-...n-monitor-1184 (http://www.aemelectronics.com/water-methanol-injection-monitor-1184) cheers darren

Pre turbo all types of mixes can be used to great effect. I listed em on the Aquamist WI site run by my friend Richard. *Link above* We use allot of WI on the Ethanol blend stuff, its great especially when you take into account its random nature of quality, the WI makes the engines reliable and very strong and power is only limited by how much of a man you are Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dont know about everyone else but my car made 260kw @17psi without, went back once it had water/meth and made 307kw @16.5. On pump 98 for both tunes. That was just an aem kit off ebay

Do you know how much more timing you could get in it? 60hp on the same boost is awesome. I found around 130hp with an extra 3psi and about 8 degrees more even with the more boost on a turbo 186. Gone to an rb30 now so any info is appreciated. Cheers

i got 10 degrees in my rb25 wifes daily, on 19psi., 600cc. 40 ish rwkw one day i'll take it back and try 23psi and see how it goes, that would be the 3076 maxed out cheers darren
