Powercruise? mannn i just cant wait to enter 'put the car together and get it running and just GO for a cruise', nevrmind powercruise lol... I would put it in powercruise but im unsure on how much... and if I do enter I would NOT be up for beating up on it at all as its been a while to get her going again... haha i'm also waiting for that cruise LOL. Just when I thought I had everything sorted it's rooted the gearbox twice, all on less than 200hp, 7psi and 4000rpm haha. I pulled the calais off the road January '07, convinced mum that it would only be in her garage for a couple of weeks max. 18 months later it rolled out :P I got to the point where nothing really excited me about the car, until the day we managed to fire it up. Since that day it's just been up and down, really annoying not being able to get that final tune and see what it actually can do!! I thought the delays were all over but it's been 2 months since it started :| I will be beating up on my car at powercruise! What an awesome event that is going to be! Also can't wait for the next huge VL cruise when everyone is ready. Will be an enjoyable day I'm betting good luck dude, powercruise is $160 I think if ur keen for the wkend. hahaha u speak my anguish!!,my auto let go at just 230rwhp and like 10 psi... i keep dreeming ive got my car back and its tuned and i go to grab the keys n theyre not there then go out side n the cars not there eva ,*snap back to reality* lol ill have my car back monday *allegedly* and hopefully get it tuned next week.. its been like 7 odd weeks since ive had it home i will also be letting my car know whats what at powercruise,twill be a good day. this years gonna be boss with all these nice examples of vlct/vlt's rolling around

lol its everyones story i had mine off the road for 6 months... on the way home from getting it tuned she blew the bottom end with only 260rwhp LOL thats was 3 months ago and the new bottom end leaves monday! so yeah still alot to do tho, like mo's dogs ate my wiring loom to the motor so that has to be re-done etc etc it just never ends... but hey when she'es done will be fun lol i will be at powercruise aswell unless my auto decides to have a whinge too lol everyones story's are all the same!! anyway chris your car looks awesome well done!! cant wait to see the big tune

Dog eating wiring loom... yeah that sucks but I bet you cant top this... Ive had a motor built and sent to another shop and during transportation there were no spark plugs or corks portecting the cylinders from rain and the motor was FKD b4 it was even fully built!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! Then on top of that... I had a tripper mechanic have dramas fitting the turbo (low mount + Turbonetics snail = fkall room) so to my suprise i rocked up and discovered that while on pills and tripping out, the mechanic thought it to be a good idea to GRIND the turbo housing and eventually put a hole in it!!!!!! cost me 1100 for a new housing... MANNNnnn the money that has gone into NOTHING on that car is enough to break Romeo's heart! It broke mine and still does time and time again... but its like that hot x gf... u just end up going back for MORE lol EVL : i think ill just go spectate at powercruise... if my car does go in it... and IFFFFFF its ready by then it will only be seeing show n shine and dyno... thats the lot... even then im a bit nervous haha... But yeah man.... absolutely HANGING to go cruising with all you guys... but im afraid i wont be hanging around long if spanners start acting up and cutting up... i do not want a canary and will be avoiding the PO leeese at ALL costs Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

omg epic fail rained out motor. and as for your mechanic, surely you could convince him to make things right? one way or another?? :P We tried to do as much work as we possibly could on my car to avoid some of the tragedies that you mentioned, but even so, tits or tyres bring nothing but heartache!! haha (I didn't say that if the mrs. asks tho). I share your fear mate regarding powercruise, however the event is alcohol free and you can be sure I will be avoiding Five-O at all costs. Even got a resonator put on so I can stress less when cruising the streets.

lol yea SLOW6 thatd suck bout the motor and turbo .. but if i was u i woulda grabbed the mechanic by the neck and said "YOU WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM AND U WILL ENJOY DOING IT!!",thats a bit rough u paying for his f*ck up! even thoe ive got permits .. im still gonna be parranoyd round the 5.0 .... when i got my permits the turbo side of things says "non standard t04b" .... sounds the same as t04zee right? and i highly doubt a pig would know the diff . i think on the day ud have to be real unluky to get pinged for wot eva reason by the dog's.. i should be at PC (court dates pending) my car should be as is for powercruise but i SHOULD be able to upgrade the brakes just in time ...and stockies FTW!!! unless i can find a nice set of rims b4 hand.

Guys... just to let you know... the mechanic WAS a tripper... on lots of gear... he smashed in someone windscreen at the lights he also Shot at some innocent ppl with a glock... its hard to collect money from a psycho! especially when he carries a gun... and MOSSSST especially its hard to claim cash when he goes to jail for 5 years... LOL... NOt sure how that visit would have gone down.. "Hi man... i know ur in here for 5 years and **** but i was wondering if i could have a grand off u for my turbo housing you ****ed up?" lol.... I think I would have got further trying to convince a terrorist to read the bible!

i would be more worried about the car goin in a dyno comp than say the powerskid, due to the dyno guys just gonna rev it till it stops makin power! an the powerskids all you. its funny tho, we r paying 200 odd bucks and we r the ones thrashin our cars makin them money... eh im still gonna thrash mine tho lol!

thats how i saw it too yeah, but think bout the rest man, the rent to hold the event there, the tix for the spectaors cant b too much or noone would show, all the wages for organising **** and the big one is insurance for these events is huge!!
