Do you reckon they carry on like this over there The fact is that there IS a V8 section on this forum, so if you don't want to read about them, don't bother going into that part of the forum. Pretty simple! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

OK mr intelligence... 1600 divide by 1200 gives you a ratio of 1.333. To keep with a VLT with 250rwkw a late model ill need 330rwkw. So theoretically a car taking into account identical power curves and torque curves a VL will accelerate given perfect traction 1/3 quicker than a late model commodore. NOW we take into account your obvious intelligence with cars and factor in torque curves, an LS1 is making maximum torque which for a not so serious bolt on car is 550ft/lb to 600ft/lb is about 1800rpm. After looking at my old VL turbo dyno sheets max torque of 440ft/lb was at 3750rpm. Well **** me if 600ft/lb divided by 440ft/lb is 1.36. Thats nearly 2000rpm of revs where im making maximum forward momentum and a VLT is not. So in summing up where torque not HP is what drives a car forward. I have a 1/3 more torque total and im making more torque earlier.... Hang on doesnt that mean im leaving you behind.....

I actually thought peak torque for a lS1 was around 4-4500rpm, thats what they feel like to drive, edit/exhaust cleans them up, but they have nothing under that. It's all a trade off though, if they weren't like that they woudn't be the wonderfully power productive motor they are cheers darren
