Quote: Nah that software would be your software and is allocated to your board. The tuners licence is 600 and that is a multiple user software. If you hold the individual users license... you can provide this to a tuner for them to use on your vehicle. Some tuners have used the individual license and then upgraded to the tuners license so they could start getting into the increasing trend of retuning factory ECUs Q45 is good to about 300kw. Z32s do a little more. Tuner posted a graph with one used on a GTiR on our forums showing the flow

Hey all im going back to Dr Drift this saturday to see what difference an auto to manual conversion has made .If i knew how to put pics up i would give ya before and after dyno sheets BTW its an N/A convert been converted since the start of the year and havent had a problem making around 170odd rwkw with a r00ted auto that finally died so i put a manual in.Should be interesting ,will let ya's know Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just for your information guys.... We have achieved under 1% co and 250 hc's at idle with nistune and 770cc injectors and a crow TX2 camshaft. This of course was running a cat but just shows that it can definatly be tuned to pass emissions.

Hey guys. Just thought I'd give you a quick run down on what we have been doing with nistune lately. We have done everything from stock setups to pretty wild engines to even push it to run engines that most would say couldn't be done with stock equipment, and its taken some time but here is a quick run down. We have had our development VL runing nistune for the last 6 months or so, Running several types of air flow meters and even mapped for a MAP sensor. The RB30 has a TX2 camshaft, 660cc inj, 35/40 with an 850hp T04Z compressor, 6 boost manifold, 3.5inch exhaust, 2x044 pumps, H Beams, forgies, nitrated crank, jd plenum and MSD CDI. Its still passes emissions with a cat and gets perfect control at idle and light engine loads. The MAP sensor we could get to run, but not very well. The nature of the ECU loves transient fuel scaling, (0 volts less fuel, 5 V more fuel) where a Map sensor on a big camshaft engine cant really deliver that. So then we tried an AFM insert into a 4 inch hole. Could get the car to drive and make power but getting good control at idle and light engine loads was sketchy at best. We rescently went to a Z32 AFM wich has made tuning quite straight forward. We where having trouble with EMF feedback wich we tracked down to being the CDI. We havent quite gotten to the bottom of it yet but we may not need to. This engine last night was developing almost 360rwkw at 5500 rpm at 21 psi on pump fuel. Then the clutch let go during the power run. The Factory ecu controlling everything perfectly. This is with a single stock coil and inductive setup (no msd) with an air flow meter. The car starts and runs prefectly and made considerably more power with more boost and revs but under speed hold conditions on the dyno with no igntion break down. This is with new OEM nissan parts wich is a big factor when running the edge with the stock system. We have also rescently done a CA18DET with a 3082R with a .63 rear, Top dollar head work and massive cams. A 6Boost manifold and big fuel system. This car made 306rwkw on pump, all controlled by the factory CA computer with stock coils and no ignition issues. Just good quality wiring and a correctly setup coil charge/saturation times. We are going to do more development work over the next couple of weeks and see how large we can go with the injectors before control becomes an issue, and even add some better fuel to see how far we can take the stock ignition system. Good power!!! Are you running the z32 before the turbo in the std position or in the cold side piping? Did you have any wiring issues with the z32 or was it a matter of just swapping the pins around?

We just swapped the pins around. Its mounted pre turbo and is maxxed out, but i didnt think the AFM would cope to well with 30 psi and the added heat in the cooler piping. We have been able to tune around it maxing out pretty effectivly, from the driver seat you would never know.

Thanks awesome work. Really goes along towards getting a decent street tune with being canaried for aftermarket management. Has anything like this been done with the stock RB25DET ECU?

Yeah, speak to sam at DR drift. He is doing stock RB25 ECU's. Also the Z32 computers can have small wiring modifications and run a 25 with VCT. Or RB20 is a straight plugin with no VCT. Wich can be ok with a dedicated engine with aftermarket camshafts that have been dialed in correctly

Im pretty sure sam was using an emulator for the vl as opposed to the proper Nistune?

Can still use nistune software with an emulator. But for thoes without one Nistune is just an easier way to do it(live). Imagine in our drift car, If we where at the track and had to make a change, even rpm limit or anything, with an emulator we would have to have an image of the current tune, change it what we need it to be, burn the chip, install it and try it.. with nistune, plug it in, change it and try it. For the budjet build it may be worth it, if not its easy modifications

Sure are, Pico scope in hand with current clamp and coil voltages/charge times. We havent had the chance to spin it to 8000rpm yet, but we should be over peak torque so hopefully it will be enough to keep it running.

What do the values in the tables equal? I have not found anyone that say with certainty what the 232 in the duty cycle equals. Nor what the value of 59 at 11volts is equal to. I was able to open up my spark plug gap to .034" with some tuning on the duty cycle map, but I've never tried anything with the dwell table. I also run stock nissan parts except for a msd blaster SS coil at 25+psi with no break up, but I'm always interested in pushing the envelope further with the least amount of stress on my components as possible.

Hey guys. Got nistune a few days ago. Had leaking injector so chucked in gtr's aswell. Car went a little better with just the std injectors. But now with the gtr's is very rich and lacks power (expected) all i did was resize injectors in nistune though didnt play with anything else. Just wondering if anyone has a tune that would suit. hicomp 10psi hilflow-cooler-gtr injectors that i could have a play with while i wait for a guy that will hopefully tune it.

had my nistune installed.. made 260rwhp on 16psi with T04b 600cc inj and custom rail and z32 afm stage 1 cam forged bottom end and ported head cooler, 3" full boost is at 4000rpm so might have a leak in the exhaust manifold or wastegate it is a ebay manifold though.. car runs great big thanks to shawn at EFI Performance in Burleigh for putting up with my car haha
