I seen that car in the stobie pole after it happened, was up the road from me on Sth Rd in Morphett Vale....farkin amazing he walked away, the car hit the pole sideways after it crossed onto the wrong side of the road! The impact was in the drivers door/pillar region and yeah it was well bent and yes it was absolutely pissing down that night!!! Crazy and amazing he wasnt killed.

We say thanks for all those who helped out and their suport of the Murray Bridge Autofest(you know who u are).Yes we did learn from year one,and of coarse we will increase Saftey for next year as well as better parking and spectator access and veiwing and also catering. We had to begin somewhere and now that we know what to expect things will improve for 2008 and beyond. Please post any improvements that you saw and that need our attension.Don`t be shy as your opinions are important to our future plans. just some ideas for next year. - Grandstand type thing on both sides of the burnout pad - improved track safety barriers - VERY long shot (but get murray bridge to set up a 1/4 mile somewhere at sturts - More food - More toilets - make the show and shine a bit more of an event.
