i was originally going to turbo my vp v6 commodore, i bought a 2nd engine and started stripping it down ready to work the internals. Then i went for a drive in a mates 220rwkw vlct and soon changed my mind, about 3months later i had a vl turbo and the v6 is still sitting in the shed in bits lol

The thing that got me hooked was my neighbours boyfriend had a dark blue sl with a to4s hanging off the side of the engine used to launch up the road every day with a massive scream to it, then I finally hit him up for a ride and didnt think much of it untill it got to about 3500rpm+ & and all that was behind the car was smoke and a hell of a lot of tread

Around the start of july this year, i was doing work experience through school, and i was on a job at the kellyville ridge/rouse hill maccas, across from the ettamogah pub. anyway we were on the roof wiring up some **** that they just had installed, big air con units (was doin work experince as a sparky, anyone wana give me an apprenticeship!?) and it was raining, so we kinda put it on hold and sat under some tarps til the worst of it was over, which was when i first caught sight of this immac red (from memory) over silver calais dosing and skating its head off up the road past the maccas. i then realised i had creamed my pants, and i had fallen in love! a few minutes later he came down and parked in the maccas and got something to eat, i sat up there for like half an hour listening so intently just waiting for him to dose his way out or the car park!!! so anyway as soon as i got home i started doing some research and eventually found this forum, fell even further in love and eventually bought an nice little unroadworthy 86 berlina that im currently fixing up! If the guy who owns that car is on the forum, if love to know who it is!

the genetics in my macedonian blood. i hit 17 and automatically i just wanted a VL. But having a dad who has had a fully worked VK BT1 and LH SLR5000 (and an na VL sl) it had to be a 5L. So just before my 20th i found my beast forked out my cash and couldnt be happier.

My 2 older brothers both had 5 speed n/a's - so it was in the family. Bought my first maranello red 5 speed N/A for a few years - then couldnt take it any more and started buying up bits to convert. Got to much of a good offer on a VLCT for sale in ballarat - so i bought it and put all the new gear i bought into it - and been driving a VLCT daily ever since. As above - cheap thrills - expensive bills.

Follwed the croud and baught a vl because i was told it was cooler than a vk which i orginally liked more, since owning my first maranello red vl i feel in love with them and now cant see how i liked vk's. Parents baught my first one, i crashed it wrote it off, Baught a gold vl berlina turbo, blew the motor, got a white vl wagon cheap to get around in, sold it for double what i paid. Now i have a car that i could have only dreamed about exterior wise and slowely turning it into a perfect ride I think if my car was stolen or i crash it etc, i would be lost in life lol, how sad. fullboost.com.au, thats what got me into vl's, all those videos from easternats and calder in the late 90's got me hooked and also watching them in real life belting down the straight at sandown and racing at calder, especially UWANIT, the easternats video of that car screaming down the straight is still my all time favorite
