Yes, the idea was suggested before. My uncle and hes brother in law built a yellow bt1 a year ago, i never saw under the hood but they must have been using parts from rajab and bresciani cause they had like 7 massive stickers on the car, had the ceptors etc. and it sits infront of my uncles house, and he lives in a bunch of units atm due to renovation. its like one biggggggg long driveway down the side with small driveway access to each house. To prevent the car getting stollen my uncle each night would chain up rocky, his rottweiler, to the front rim, and leave it there with a peace of meat over nite, sometimes head starve the dog for 2 days.. but because my uncles brother in law used to dose the car up and down noble park (where the units are) and attract all sorts of attention, he also had VERY dodgy friends who knew were he lived.. my uncle thought it was time to get serous..after a few attempted breakins wich ended up in fights outside the units.. and police being called over..then the car gettting defect stickers and **** for not even being driven. stupid huh ? the neighbours new the dog was there but they never left there doorstpes at night so it didnt matter..and my uncle would move the dogg around 8am each morning cause hed leave for work then.. and once 3 bogans, pissed off their face tried stealing the vl, they were throwing bricks at the dog from the building site next door, and the dog was going NNNUTSS.. and if the vl didnt have a motor im sure that TANK of a rotty would have pullled the front of the car around and managed to reach that fence!. the sensor lights went on in the drive way, uncle and bro in law came running out. bogans wouldnt leave until they "had the vlt"..LOL so my uncle just unclipped the lock, kicked the dogg and didnt go after rocky for about 20 minutes.. Good safe strategy. Get a MEAN ASS F**KING DOGG and chain her to ur car if need be during nights if u have no other option it works well Rocky sits behind my uncles factory and guards the easily breakable doors that hold past them, more then 100,000K worth of televisions, games..rims..a car, etc.. that placed hasnt been robbed once ! attempted from the front, but im sure when they got to the backdoor, there was a surprise waiting there oh and the vlt was sold cause my uncle couldnt be stuffed anymore, protecting it etc. hes bro in law was getting tired of it aswell so they sold for around..12K i think he said, and they brought a saab900s turbo, hes currently working that atm, its got no badging and its got the worst rims on it, like those ancient stock saab rims ahahah so i doubt anyone will want to steal IT LOL! Yeah but you dont need to be a mastermind to steal a non looked after vl, not that im a pro, I have lost my keys before however. The more preventative knowledge the better without giving precise information, it helps every non modern car owner. And the more technical stuff comes down to alarm knowledge & electrical. Its just crap that they have non varying key combinations and ****ty ignition barrels. And you cant say these facts arnt very well known.

yeah true, i'm well aware a stock VL is probably one of the the easiest cars in the world to steal. I'm just trying to think from the perspective of a potential car thief, if you were planning to take a specific car you would reseach model weaknesses on the net. So you go home and google it, and you find threads just like this one. I just think in the public area of the forum, details should be kept to a minimum otherwise it potentially does more harm than good. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have worked as an audio, alarm installer for a long time and the problem i had been seeing in adelaide is if you can crawl under the engine bay with a torch and see the alarm siren the car thieves are jamming rags into it so when the alarm is tripped you cant hear it. Then its just a matter of taking their time to hotwire your car and ironically becomes an easy task for some one who knows what they are doing because of the fact that even whith a all black wired system, every wire is obvious to what it is because of the way its connected to your alarm. All I can reccomend to avoid this is that you have multiple sirens fitted around the vehicle in different locations they are cheap and you should be able to run 3 or 4 on the same cuircuit with most alarm systems. also if you only have one siren make sure that it is not accessible whatsoever whithout opening the vehicle. ive never tryed it, but ive always wanted to mig weld 1 or 2 razor blades to the under side of my drivers door handle facing right whare your fingertips pull up on when you open the door. then i could leve my car unlocked and i'd just have to be carefull when i open it. try to hot wire a car or even break the ign. barrel when your missing the sensitive part of 3 or so fingers and even if they can there's plenty of DNA in your driveway for the cops to sample.

Just kill switch it. Pager Alert to your mobile alarm. GPS hidden in between the dash and firewall. Good enough if they even get away with it by the time you get there you can see where they are.

simple, dont let people follow u, be alert when u get within 2 minutes of ur home, i had two guys in a commodore follow me round three blocks for about 5 times before they realised... its just being alert, and having good alarm/kill switch

if you know your vl ignition system wiring then ya dnt need 2 b pulling coils off n bull****, disconect the keystart and let the ****s fiddle, asoon they pull off the steering column covers n see the wires snipped off, they got no hope, and on the word of all black wiring, its useless, just pick the 2 of the fatter wires n ur in or just find the relay, and you can start a vl another way than through the ign barrel

You should all have one of these (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/REPORTER-RWA-300R-DRIVEWAY-WIRELESS-MOTION-SENSOR-ALARM_W0QQitemZ110300423532QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110300423532&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177) if you don't keep your car in a garage. I've been woken up a few times in the middle of the night to watch scum running down the road because they've heard the buzzer
