I thought I'd drag this thread back up here. Reason being, I'm thinking of selling my house and moving north to the Hervey bay area. Point Vernon looks good, is it ?? I'll take a drive up soon but I just wanted locals opinions on work situations and whatever. My mother/inlaw lives there and she likes it. I'm a detailer and forky /storeman so I can do a bit. Any comments would be good. Cheers

yeah point vernon is a nice area man. there's a new industrial estate being developed near the airport too, so you should be able to find some work as a forky/storeman when its up and running out there. just don't worry about bringing the surfboards up..
