I took it for a drive today... still only running 10 pound and stuff all timing, but still went very decently, im quite impressed with it considering its running lower boost than what I wanted my low boost to be ... first gear in the auto is pretty much straight up limiter, and I wasn't even flat :-S :-S :-S Im getting a list of what the tuner wants me to fix before he will tune it for big power ... It consists of things such as rear discs and a reco'd steering rack, and a few leaks fixed up... Has anyone had some experience with a TurboNetics pressure regulator for external gates that legitly allow you to control boost, exactly like a bleed valve, but the proper way for external gates ... Im thinking about getting one instead of changing springs ... what do you all reckon??? Keith yeah i'd be pretty keen to go for a cruise with both of the ranas ... I get mine back tomorrow now, so only one more sleep wait ... yay ... have you still got my number, message me with a time and place to go for a cruise ... Dean

I didn't make it to Ingham car show, due to work. I was going to drive the Torrie there as well. OH well, always next year. The car is all back together and going again. NA motor, Deco plate, standard nissan headgasket. Still just running 10 pound. This motor actually goes though, the old motor was sluggish from the start and I can really feel the difference this time, plus the higher compression helps im sure. Waiting on getting a gearbox built for it, mine is still slipping badly in second and third gear. That will happen sometime after I get back from Winter Nats, which me and a mate are roadtripping to in his VL... Shall be fun, can't wait. To answer your question PSI Wagon, just the rears... Gone through two sets now Dean Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey cal-a-kid your car is still looking mad! Giving me inspiration to keep working on mine. If those rims are 8" wide min (or atleast a pair of them) then do it, else you'll kick yourself later when u want 245+ wide tyres on the rear. I have 15x7's, cant really go much bigger than 245 else it starts to look funny too. Wish i still had the 8" wide rims, its a little annoying when some1 starts to pull away cause ur spinning in 2nd gear!! Cant wait for my LH to look as straight as yours, then the 300rwkw........ mmmm.....

update! Nearly three years has gone by since my last post but since some progress has happened I figured it was overdue... Got the car dynoed with the new fully forged bottom end (cp and spool combo) running on e85 managed to make 422kws on 30psi with a bit left in the tune :-) Few teething problems with a couple of leaks and alternator not charging to sort out before I can get it back on the dyno to finish it off... All the other new additions are working well, went to a coilpack setup so had to get the microtech reconfigured so upped the mapsensor to 3bar, replaced the droptank with a fuel cell and added an extra 044 pump. Managed to squeeze a pair of ten inch slicks under the back without any modification due to the offest on those weld draglites, that I might add no one liked :-P Looks fat with them on! I'm extremely happy with the result and looking forward to improving the quarter mile time of 11.4 @ 119 mph to somewhere into the lower 10's @ 130 something mph... Got a question though, as im still running off the foot brake, i've decided to run a little shot of gas to help bring it up on boost quicker in staging, the nos is all set-up but as with the tune you have to allow for extra fuel because of the e85 of around 25% ... will I have to run a bigger pill in the fuel nozzle of around a 25% increase? Has anyone done the same thing? We'll obviously play with it during the tune and check out the afr's but wouldn't mind a heads up before I start giving it a spray. I was just going to use a 50-75 shot off the line depending... Dean ---------- Post added 25-10-11 at 14:01 ---------- What? No one has played with e85 and gas??? Dean

I will be trying E85 and nos when my engine is back together. I have a 26/30 in my R33 but would love to find a torana to drop the engine and box into.
