06-10-06, 16:21 GMT+10#122 Well since the odometer, stopped at 268,000 Ks in 2003, I would say about 290,000 now.
Things that have been replaced.
AFM adjusted.
New plugs.
New leads. (Nothing wrong with the old ones, just put in better leads)
New injectors.
New alternator.
New hoses.
New lifters.
Never had a head replacement (Since I've had it). I think in the 3 and a half years, that's pretty good. Considering they guy before me, used to give it a hard time. Goes very strong, for a 20 year old engine.

Thats a lotta driving! Even if the cabbie had it from 86 til 91 its 200 000ks a year! Averages over 540ks a day and thats assuming no days off in 5 years! thats one hard working cabbie with one hard working car

Hey mate, I'd do an all over general check of your vl..
Like the steering wheel, pedals, gear shifter, carpet, console, drivers seat and the ignition barrell..Ofcourse they can all be replaced, but its a start
Or if your keen, take it do a decent mechanic, or Holden..
Good luck mate..

23-04-10, 16:47 GMT+10#134 Sorry to resurrect a old thread
Ive only 262000 on mine.
Old mate down the road from me has a standard 86 berlina auto. He has owned the car for a long time, almost since new...
It has 350,000 kays on the clock, original motor.... but heres the catch, the odometre hasnt worked for 11 years.
In the past 11 years, he claims his driving habbits havnt changed...
11 years ago it was 1999 and the car was 13 years old and had some 350,000 kays.
Going of those numbers, it has aprox 700,000 kays under its RB30 belt
