I dont see why people think cannons look stupid... If you dont have them placed sideways on your VL they look quite nice, im thinking of getting one my self
a cannon only looks good if the car's got balls to back up the looks, otherwise it's rice, which should only be seen on a rice car, ie, not a commy
steve leerentvelts orange lj torana sued to have twin cannons b4 he did the turbo setup and it looked insane, so there is a place for a cannon but not on a stockish vl, or any vl really imo.

9.8 on a 1/8th mile wouldn't translate to 19.6 on a quarter mile. Have a think about that one a little bit more....
it doesnt. all he has done is double the 1/8 mile time.
i just found a site then that can convert it for you http://www.velocidad-maxima.com/calcu/calcu.htm
i was pretty close with my answer but its actually a quicker pass than i said

actually you need to learn how to convert 1/8 to quarter male. its more like mid to high 15's
lol took my girls stocko vs commy and ran a 16.57. thought that was pretty **** for a v6 commy and now i know why i like to drive my vl rather than the vs

Heres the rest....
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
i just brought a vl wana bit more power, threw in extracters, exhuast 2 1/4, was wondering wats involved in changing gear ratios and how much, im from the gold coast and wondering the best place to get it done
Just an Idea when taking the AFM Mesh out wouldn't it be advisable to keep it in there especially if you have an LPG system setup for it After Fires and builds pressure up and blows the Air Cleaner box apart it would definately save the AFM.
You don't have to answer me I know this is about Mods and stuff but I thought I would post my theory.
mesh doesnt do anything but keep large debris out of your engine. for one there is no real use haveing the one in between the TB and afm as nothing would get pass the first one and if it did it would go straight through it anyway.
second there really isnt anyway that something could go through the filter in the first place.
and i doubt that any backfire would blow all the way to the box and if it did no mesh is gonna prevent the afm from getting damaged
hey guys
whats the go with bolting the afm onto the throttle body they say it improves throttle response true or false ??? just seen it on a RB30 some where thought id ask
well wagonshaw, it would but you have two options.
1) use VL pistons which will resault in a comp of 8.3:1
2) use rb25 pistons and which will have a comp of 10.5:1
well for an NA the 10.5:1 would be awesome i think.
unless you're planning on going for a turbo conversion later down the track then leave the VL pistons in.
