Hey Guys I am new to the scene of calaisturbo.com.au Got put onto this by Mike SIKVLT. I am into VL Turbos in a big way and was hoping to catch up with a group of guys to go on cruises and things who were also into them.
Thanks for the heads up on this site Mike.

Him: "I drove my brother's brother in law's VL, it was one that came from the factory with a turbo, that thing flew!"
Me: "For real? Ya know there's only 12 or so in NZ, what colour was it?"
"White"
"Aha. Manual?"
"Yup"
"Sedan or Wagon"
"Can't remember but pretty sure it was a wagon"
Sounds like your one Mike! (or possibly RIPV8S if it was a sedan) Do ya know if any of the previous
owners lived in Hastings?
Nah I'm the first north island owner has only been lower south island owners before me

Yea that cars mint, everything underneath is polished too, so much detail.
p.s. does anyone here use Accel ignition leads? are they any good? how do they stack up compared to the likes of NGK, Bosch, MSD etc?

Considering it's a 22 year old car I'd say it's condition is pretty good! It would still be a good buy at $65k, and with $10-12k spent on a clean up you would have a mint car. I doubt you could get a decent tidy up for $3-4k as he states in the auction. The entire kit needs to be removed so car and kit can be painted seperately

how many of these genuine walky's made it to NZ? but man id take the silly stereo and put the factory one in LOL and just tidy it up to make it look as it did from the factory floor...

Not to sure, somewhere between 100-200 would be my guess. I don't think I could live with 180kw, 16s, and factory suspension. I'd love one with factory paint and interior, but with FR18s and similar suspension and engine setup I had in EVLHSV. I'd probably remove the factory engine and box and drop in a VT 355 roller engine and T56 so I could return the drive line back to factory if I ever loose the urge to modify everything I buy
