was having a yarn with this guy who bought his vl v8 13 years back for 13grand. good guy , told him to check out the forums when he could. car was absolutely mint as , redone all the suspension with bilstein and had a new diff etc lookd wicked as!

these guys did my cable: http://www.ebcbrakes.co.nz/contact I would get a quote first, but they are pretty good. They can usually turn it around in a day or so, and you should be able to mail it to them - the workshop is a bit of a pain to get to! basically they just cut that lead end off, and put a new one wherever you require it. It's not the easiest job to do, as you need to make sure you get the right length so that you still get full range of throttle openings. There is some adjustment using the threaded part of the sleeve, but not much. I dunno if you've had a decent look at the cable yet, but you can, with a bit of effort, prise the plug part off the end of the cable sleeve (the plug is where the cable goes through the firewall). If you can get this off (it's glued I think, so you need to work it off by sliding a screwdriver or something between the plug sleeve and cable sleeve), then cut the sleeve off of this end, you can then slide the shortened sleeve back into the plug, and it'll still look factory. From memory I cut off 150-200mm. Hope this helps!
