Get the original ones chromed,Or run a double gasket. Are you going to run roller rockers?.They tend to wrap with the heat(those covers)Same with the redline heater outlet goose neck. But I have to say you are getting thru a power of work and are nearly on the home straight. Thanks mate, I have got hold of some rubber rocker cover gaskets that Im gonna use. Hoping that father Christmas in feeling generous this year haha! The alternator in the pic is just an old one that I was using to check fit and clearances . Need to look at getting a more presentable version. ---------- Post added 17-12-13 at 21:15 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by ss nut [View Post] Get the original ones chromed,Or run a double gasket. Are you going to run roller rockers?.They tend to wrap with the heat(those covers)Same with the redline heater outlet goose neck. But I have to say you are getting thru a power of work and are nearly on the home straight. Cheers Marty Cheers , feeling that I am making progress now. Appreciate the advice, problem is the engine didn't come with any stock covers, and the old ones went with the old engine that I sold. Nah, Im not planning on roller rockers. I am looking at options for covers, I'll use double gasket if I run with these. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just a quick update. Waiting to sort out a few mechanical bits, so made a start on prepping body and body kit for paint. The boot lid had been sprayed with crap black paint, so I stripped it back to bare metal and primed it. Sanded and smoothed roof. Filled in the holes for the original windscreen mouldings, as Im going with the universal/VT seal. Prepped and primed the back half of the car, still needs a bit of filling in a few places. Have also been spending a lot of time to get the bodykit to fit right. Just an example (rear bumper) ... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
