Sorry for delay in update guys, been a bit embattled here, I know you are keen, been a frustrating time the last few days and a doozy migraine didnt help, not cool being a one-man show at moment... The main support board which holds the fuses and is structural comes from China and although the media report a general slow-down, the industry is booming and scheduling a fairly small order has been difficult as the main board is thicker than standard and given size of order it has been suggested it be combined with another sizable order. I didn't reply quickly enough to an email from the manufacturer and had the job moved to another date slot as they also have priority headaches with larger jobs which are mostly for different material and/or thickness. They have also asked me to clarify a technical issue re the file format which has been fixed today, this means the boards wont turn up now till end of next week. All other main parts in stock, just waiting for boards. If anyone's circumstances have changed, Eg. Car written off, or any other reason, send me an email request for refund with your account number and can get it credited back later in week plus the 50c internet bank fee etc, [email removed], will get to PM's here after I make some space, getting overloaded... Apologies again and regards Mike

Here is the tech details re the relay holder sockets regarding each different rail. - Holden fuserail has option for sliding on up to 4 relay holder sockets on one (top) side only, you could use any relay that could plug into these (matching) holders. - My old Version 1 fuserail didn't have that - fortunately no more of those rails available. - My old Version 2 fuserail has option for one accessory board that takes the same 4 slide on relay holder sockets as the Holden fuserail and in the same place. - The newer series III fuserail takes the same relay holder board as my Version 2 but as the production was delayed I managed to modify the design to now take 2 of these accessory boards so up to 8 relay holder sockets could be slid on, 4 on top edge and 4 on bottom edge. Sorry don't have prices confirmed for these accessory boards yet, though last time it was about $10 ea. Regarding the accessory relay holder boards, relay holder sockets and relays:- - The accessory relay holder boards have a similar type of slider and latch so it can take the same relay holder sockets which Holden has designed for their old fuserail. - My relay holder boards have option for lights so you can tell whether the relay is driven or being activated or wire the lights so you can show the load is driven etc... - The size and type of relay is up to you, as long as you can find the matching relay holder socket for the range of plug-in cubic type Bosch similar format relays. I think they go up to 30A or maybe more and have a few different pin-outs so they can be on/off, changeover, single or double pole or any other you can find to suit need. The Series III fuserail kit comes standard with a CD or DVD with short video segments and pictures of the fuserail installed in glove-box in a few different users cars, incl one race car that was driven at Perth's Barbagallo raceway. There should be pictures on this site's archive but, here is a link to some pictures from my old web site (for relay holder board go to 2nd last picture at bottom) - which really needs an update to show the new Series III fuserail setup, sorry still has Version 2 but the fuse holder boards are now interchangeable with Series III:- http://niche.iinet.net.au/more.html Any further queries please ask here no problem, my mailbox is almost full and sorry for answering these slowly, will get to them later today and a few emails as well, Regards Mike

Sorry mate the last message I have from you is this one:- From : DJ_XTASY To : Date : 2008-04-29 21:06 Title : Re: Niches Famous Fuserails -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Originally Posted by Niche Quote: Originally Posted by DJ_XTASY Are these still the same bank details? I only got notifications by email from PM's did you make a report on a thread ? I didnt get notifications of those - only from PM's ? I wouldnt have waited 4 years, mate I would have sent a PM and email each week and every week and not leaving it up to an old thread, esp since I was not subscribed to threads only PMs whilst in and out of bed for several months. Later in 2008 iirc, I lost a large deposit to a new manufacturer. I could have refunded your deposit before then if I'd received a PM, mods will confirm I dont have PM from you ? Anyway, Its easy to fix, I know it was $50 but what narration did u put on the deposit, I thought it was your user nickname "DJ_XTASY" but it doesnt come up on the spreadsheet backup from the bank. There are lots of $50 and $60 payments but they are pretty much ebay or paypal transfers or work commissions anywhere from $40 to $80 at a time... Did you change your mind about bank deposit and use paypal instead ? Maybe the teller put in the wrong narration, if you can get the correct one it will be easy to find - pretty sure I wanted CT user name so its easier to match up, if it was something else I dont know, cant imagine... I'm still here, not flown away and waiting for boards, once I know for sure then I can refund the $50 plus some fair interest, PM me your bank details. Regards Mike PS: Still waiting for boards, should get them or report pronto this week. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

http://www.calaisturbo.net/showthrea...118796&page=10 (http://www.calaisturbo.net/showthread.php?t=118796&page=10) my posts start on page 10 and continue right through the thread when you left calaisturbo for quite awhile and I was relying on a couple of mods and fellow CTs to try and finalize this, or at the very least push this forward because I still am desperate for one of these boards, even if it is......4 years later Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Update on the bulk order for Series III fuserail. I'm advised yesterday the boards cannot be made in the standard 'skeleton' route format due to the tight clearances set for interlocking the segments together and in relation to the large number of tool movements on the same panel. Sorry for what might appear convoluted - in other words by trying to put all the board segments on one panel with the tightest packing to save costs means there is enough part movement to make the clearances too tight for bulk manufacture. What this means for you guys is it will take a few days to sort out and means the board segments wont turn up for approx 2 weeks. There wont be any additional costs to you. The positive that comes out however, is that the restriction for a certain number of boards per minimum panel is relaxed but the cost for me goes up - for the first batch there wont be any extra charge for you guys. As I'm not in your good books for time being I wont be accepting any more orders from here unless someone drops out and the queue moves down but, I wont accept orders that may upset the queue ie. To be fair its still first come first served. I've also held off making any ebay forward orders, last thing I want is any more bad press being late... You guys here on CT are the only ones in line so far for these so have you to look after first :-) Once I have the altered panel layout I'll be pushing for priority fabrication and shipping. The relay boards however, have been confirmed at the same price as before ie. $10. This time however the main assembly can take 2 of these relay boards if your setup is packed with relays. Each relay board has option for LEDs too so they can be wired to either show the relay being activated (coil) or the load being driven (after fuse) so you can tell which cause activates what outcome etc... I'll be back on here end of week either way with a more detailed update, Regards Mike

I don't mind waiting either. But you would think there would be some info on what is goin on I shouldn't have to email him directly, it would be much easier if he just posted in here and let everyone know what's happening. Like I said I'm willing to wait and knew there was going to be a bit of a wait but 6 weeks with Out a word isn't looking good on his behalf. Having said that. I'm sure there is a reason for it and hopefully we will hear some news shorty.

I'd love one. I've wanted one of these since i can remember, but im not going to bother because the last time i used ct regularly was over 6 months ago and nothings changed with these rails since then by the looks of it. Until they become readily available no one gets my money. Does niche build these rail by rail himself? Or does he contract someone to build batches for him?

he assembles bit by bit by the sounds ---------- Post added 09-05-12 at 09:42 ---------- email from me yesterday - Quote: Hi Mike, Mitcham aka SIRoller from CT here. Just thought I'd shoot an email asking for a update on where you are now with the fuse rails? there are rumblings in the thread about them as there hasn't been any news for a while so if you shoot a reply that you are happy for me to repeat publicly I'll directly cut and paste it. Even a timeframe for another update - Mitcham reply this morning from mike - Quote: ooops sorry been distracted with company in China, they got bought out and *then* get a quote from a competitor to them about my design ! Its not helpful that I've already paid them a deposit, f.....g frustrating. I'll put a note on ct tonight when i get back. I hasten to add there is no loss, its getting through a bit of politics and getting them to deliver an altered design to also account for their manufacturing method. I havent got any notifications re thread, will check that tonight too, thanks for email, regards mike so everything sounds fine. People forget the cultural differences at play aswell. I'm sure mike has given us all what he thought was reasonable and didn't account for any setbacks. I deal with the chinese embassy often for visas and its a headache. he said he will update tonight and mike if you want me to delete this feel free to lmk! ---------- Post added 09-05-12 at 09:43 ---------- also i should mention his reply was within 24 hoyurs and was first thing this morning so he's deffinately not trying to hide from anyone!
