Strange how things happen at times.
It all depends on what the recent fads are.

i think they are interested. for me the walky, the bt1 and the calais le turbo are all cars that made the vl a cult icon.
the walkies all look the same (from an outsiders point of view) so it appears that they are in high availability and they're in your face at nearly every large scale show.
the bt1's well theyre not exactly scarce. just the genuine unmolested ones at a decent price are.
the LE on the other hand, i haven't seen one on the road for approx 10 years and i recon ive seen one at a car show hanging rock 2 years ago. so lack of visibility means lack of conversation etc. It's really only hamoud's and then all f the fake ones in sydney that you see a lot. and even hamoud has grown up. i haven't seen his since heathcote all vl nationals.

hdt rollcall pics by smoked,,, im in the process of getting the funds together to make an offer on the sport turbo 4057,, wanting any history about this car please
Vlnutter : I've just come across this thread upon looking for my old HDT VL Calais Sport 4057. - I know the original owner who sold the car to MSC and only He has the original paper work for the car, not the old owner nor the current owner.
He had the car when it had the original plates OTM-407 and then put the plates (JET-HDT) in Melbourne black and white.
If you want to know anything about it pm me and I'll tell you everythg you want to know.

People don't like posting their Brocks up for obvious reasons.
Too many jealous vampires out there.

Two Calais sports up for sale at the moment, build#'s 4097 and 4226.
4097 is a nicely optioned sport with polariser, scheels, momo's etc. 4226 is a high build # for a 1986 vehicle? Maybe a typo.

4097 is looking neglected, who leaves these out in the sun for long periods?
Was this Sins car from years ago?

No wasn't sins it was for sale late last year on gumtree then withdrawn after 3 days was advertised for 35k - 4097
As for 4226 it's been owned for 10years by current owner, dents and rusty rear window channel/boot channel. It was a poorly optioned sport with no scheels and even standard calais wheels as apposed to aeros or momos. Worth maybe 18-20k IMO
4097 in much better condition then 4226 and surely if your in the market for a hdt you'd at least want scheels

Mine was 3510, differences being the one I owned was a LE, not a Sport, was Evening Blue, had full scheel interior (that one only has the front seats) and also a metal sunroof.
