YES! I actually have a real (ish) update. Well, some stuff arrived in the mail. Whiteline adjustable strut brace, K-Mac adjustable strut tops, full Nolathane bush kit, Pedders Racing 30mm front sway bar, Pedders Racing 22mm rear sway bar. Knox Auto Carpets "Red". Looks like a perfect match. My suspension arms are going to see Nick at Pedders Moorabbin tomorrow to have all the old bushes removed, new ball joints fitted, and the strut tops fitted (really cbf doing the strut tops myself). So, if all goes according to plan, I should have at least the front suspension reassembled this weekend. I need a diff to do the rear...well, a diff housing, completely stripped. If anyone has one, gimme gimme gimme! Edit: Oh, there's been a stuff up with my discs - long story short, they haven't been sent because the guy didn't get my money. Oh well, he's dropping them off tomorrow! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nick just called, now I'm getting two new lower control arms. One of them was cracked. Look what was waiting for me when I got home from work: These front rotors are fucking huge! Can't believe how big they look. Anyway, I'm waiting on next pay day so I can get all my suspension back, and start putting bits in. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Give me all your bushes IMO red carpet is a bit overkill with red interiors, i wouldve gone black, you can get black (moulded for vl) carpets off ebay for like $170. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No, red carpet in red interior, if You don't appreciate Madeira interior as it came from the factory then GTFO Its really looking good Tim, red interior FTMFW (in white over grey Berlinas ) I haven't forgotten about that console lid either, I will try and get some pics to You at some stage Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Sure dude, you can have all my bushes. Of course, they're actually on eBay, and once you give about $400 odd to Online Performance Autos, they promptly be delivered to your house. Oh, and they'll then be yours. But I'll still have mine. Magic, hey? I did consider black, just for something different, then I rembered why I bought a red interior - because I love OG. It's not RED, it's quite deep, closer to burgundy. Just whenever you get a chance, no rush. I've always thought white with red interior was one of the best looking combinations when seen from afar. It's the only interior colour that you can easily see from a distance, and it just links up with the white really well. Ooh, I found both of my build sheets on Saturday when I pulled my carpet out! Driver's side was mint, passenger's was quite munched. I'm going to laminate them and put them back under the carpet. It's a long process, but every part bought or bolted on makes it that tiny bit more worth it. Congratulations on your car making SC, well done dude! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Haha, too true - hence while you'll never see a sub or "stezza" in my VL. I've had to source a new set of front and rear sway bar link pins, as my front ones look like they've been sitting at the bottom of Port Phillip Bay, and the rear ones are extremely damaged (large chunks missing, around 3-4mm deep). Got a new set coming for $66, gotta love "valued customer rates". Also got some more red dash parts being picked up on Saturday, so I can try to come up with one decent dash. Oh, and my good friend Locky (TUXEDO) is hooking me up with a new highrise lid. Thanks buddy. Got a new diff coming on monday from Jerome (GMH-JC), and I will be picking up my suspension arms this Friday! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'll start on it tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able fit the Nolathane press fit bushes by myself. I'm still waiting on my sway bar link pins, and I can't do the rear until I finish the diff (nearly a $3K job there).

I still wonder why people like it - when I open the shed and look at it I think "You haven't done anything. Everything you've done has been taken back out again and sold because you keep wanting better and better stuff!". Looking forward to that lid! Mine is fine except the tiniest hole near the back. And my back seat lower piece has a single ciggy burn (mint otherwise), and back seat upper has a crack in the vinyl at the top. Oh, and maybe the dash centre piece - mine's fair fucked. Also a rear reading light - one of mine got absolutely owned upon removal. Check out my latest addition: super expensive high performance diff!! Thanks to Jerome (GMH-JC) for donating this bad boy. Will be stripping it on Saturday to a bare housing in preparation for some real internals, courtesy of K-Rudd. Edit: I keep forgetting to add this! Diff will be a Kaaz 28 spline LSD, with new billet 28 spline axles, and 3.7 gears. In my diff tech thread there's a link to some awesome ratio/speed/rpm calculators - with a max rpm of 7000, R33 five speed top gear ratio of 0.759:1, diff ratio of 3.7:1, and 235 rear tyres, we're looking at a top speed of 280Km/h. And it'll sit on 2495rpm @ 100Km/h. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That's still pretty high rpm for 100kmph cruising, I guess it would be fine if You dont intend on driving it out of town. The 'lane sits on 2200 at 110kmph mint. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The Magna sits on 3000rpm when fifth decides to be a jerk. I've got a long range tank as well. That'll be used for any long trips she does. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Daily update time. Received a new highrise lid from Locky today (thanks mate!), was 100 times better than then melted one I had. Just a bit of glue to touch it up, and it was fitted. Here is the console assembled: The sunglasses holder isn't fitted because the two locating tabs are snapped clean off, and the only way to make it stay on would be two screws through the top. I'm getting some more red parts Saturday, so with any luck there'll be a mint sunnies holder there too. I will need to touch it up a bit with some colour matched paint, as it's quite marked and shit looking. duz360, or Extreme Turbo Manifolds, finally got some lower trailing arm supports in stock! They're paid for and ordered, so I should see them next week. Pictures etc to come. Thanks for keeping on top of that Leigh. Meanwhile, I'm putting my pennies away to finish the diff. Once that's done, suspension can go back in at the rear, and I can get stuck into the brakes. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
