Sorry to revive this, but did this car get sold to that BROTEK guy or whatever? because he bought an original one very similar to this from Vic & bought it up to NSW & ended up writing it off after about only 3 months It's not the same car is it? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

not elie from et street? he slammed it. dose pipe cooler + whitewalls and slapped the rear moulds on. i was just reading over this thread after posting it for the-duff the new guy. brang back a lot of old memories. it's a great feeling to be in a daily with character. my vlt s/w is just too harsh for a daily especialyy being manual / lowered noisy (its also too much temptation to drive like a knob, you aren't tempted to hoon when you are in a million tonne vy with an auto 3.8l single pegger :O) ---------- Post added 12-08-10 at 12:06 ---------- edit - if it was written off i hope that someone stripped the guts out of it at a wreckers yard! the amount of choice good nick bits i chased up for that POS! it even had factory black rear 1/4 surrounds without any cracks! fark.. full set of chrome trims, fully working eyelids... i spent $80 on the sticker for the rear garnish alone not to mention the time and effort restoring the plastic and badging around the entire car... ---------- Post added 12-08-10 at 12:11 ---------- to sum it all up, this car was my life for like 2 years. last time it was smashed i actually got depressed. i didn't touch it for like 6 weeks until it came back from the panel beaters. ended up losing the g/f failing at uni and leaving my rental property and housemates. its your hobbies that keep you sane through all of that stuff and i lost mine + had to deal with the stress of trying to chase up some b*tch who first wouldn't report it to her insurance company and then when she did reported that i rear ended her when i really hit her front drivers corner after she ran a stop sign. Seems like it brings back alot of memories for you The guy that crashed it was a young guy from the western suburbs of Sydney, had different plates on it though. It was probably a different car, just coincidence Also, your wagon looks really nice on those (Momo?) wheels Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

maybe. i think his username was calaisturbo ? if you ever went on ET you would know him. he was a pretty active user back then. it sure does bring back a lot of memories. first road registered car that wasn't a hand me down, and i did almost everything myself. learned a hell of a lot and met a lot of people too. saw a heap of melbourne, lots of dates, drove it tio adelaide and bathurst with no hassles (except for a mystery odometer failure which fixed itself on the way to bathurst??) i whipped it into a pole just befoire i sold it. my mates and dad and i spent one late night panel beating it and touching up a new bumper before doing a wedding the next day! the thing took me everywhere and guzzled up all of my time thoughts and money. as for the wagon its a nice car. it has seen a pretty rough life in its time but also a very dry climate and hwy km's. its also a good readup if you have a browse of my threads. (yeah they are momo's... thats a story in itself! i drove to geelong to get them after scouring the country for a set and when i got there they were knackered and being sold by some hillbilly for his son who had them on a vn....)

Word! Nice one dude. mint as, &tidy engine bay, love it. Nothing beats the ol' polished calais shoes but those 18's did suit it well too. The boot looks a bit naked without the garnish lol (: I can't believe you did all that work then said goodbye to her wow job hey. Such a well maintained car, when I got my current drive it was full of hidden dodge jobs that I found over the weeks. Should have shopped around!

hey millie, thanks for all the positive feedback. This bad boy has been gone for so long i forget all the bad bits. lots of little parking dents from use as an inner suburb daily driver and the incredible unreliability. spending time looking for the right car is key. and if youve looked t a few you will know a good one as soon as you see it. plus yours looks fine. they are all pretty old so they get like that. My turbo has dings but i call them character.
