It's not hard to do man. The plenum was a pain in the butt as it was all hand smoothed but I guess it depends how much detail you want? Why stop at the rocker cover?

Whats the g.o with the rocker cover gasket? should you replace it after you take the cover off? Im ****ting myself cos i have and car seems to be running crap, due to the lack of a touque rench

Mate you dont need a torque wrench to refit the rocker cover! Make sure the gasket is in good condition if it is then just re-use it and make sure its seated properly when you place the rocker cover back on...should not cause issues with running funny?...

Yeah, i guess its **** then cos it seems to be leaking grainie brown/black stuff around the gasket area thus stuffing up the spark plugs

heres a couple of pics of mine i did today with a kind of 80's retro feel to it. pics were taken pretty much after the clear "flashed" approx 20mins. i still need to rub it back again to flatten out the bumps left by the checkers. not bad for a backyarder i think lol. the colour is the same as my car "candy furion red" and "silver sparkle"

some mad results in here! im stuck for ideas though. im painting my car a dark metallic violet (see pic) and and thinking of ideas to paint rocker cover. i was thinking of doing it the same color as the car with stripes like above...but wouldnt mind something a bit more fancy lol any suggestions? i dunno if these are good pics of the paint, i cant view photobucket at work, so just took some random pics from my car thread lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

has anyone had any problems with the supercheap paint duplicolour metalcast? does it bond well when sprayed straight on or was the silver under coat a better idea? does the colour and shine last? has there been any reactions to engine temp like bubbling or peeling? Just liking the look of how they turned out and would like to try this paint

I just sprayed my one today with VHT metal tint. It gives it an anodized. The paint is supposed to be able to be able to handle temps up to 175c.
