Im hopefully getting my turbo back on friday so hopefully will be able to go out and try and calibrate this speedo. To answer your question the vk digital dash counts how many pulses to work out speed, so the method they use would not work for the vk cluster.

Well after the first test today the speedo seems extremely accurate. To make the unit i am now using. you will need: to pick up the speedo sender and the part the cable connects to from the vk gearbox. This piece is used for the cruise control, but you need the drive gear out of the unit. A vl gearbox drive gear. I hope your using an auto. Get back to and let me know if your usingan auto, as this may not work for a manual, but i could be wrong.

I know Lord-Data never completed the project - I've recently installed one in my 4spd carby VK (obviously a lot easier than the VL conversion.) I can tell you that it's not really worth it and I'd be much happier with a nice clean VL Calais dash in there than the laggy, inaccurate and unreliable (I have one that was manu'd in '94 by pure luck so it's a bit more reliable)... but it's really not all that worth it. That said though, if you have your heart set on it, I could probably get you all the info you'd need to get tacho/speedo functions working, but you'd be on your own as far as trip functions go Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
