Didn't you get a ticket for the black plates? I've been running around with darkies on for about a year now, I just swap 'em over at warrant time! I was pulled up a few months back and the cop didn't notice 'em!

Yup sure did, still didn't take em off though, find it stupid that the plates I've got on there now are in better condition, and brighter than the old original ones it had. It's not a wof issue, they can't fail it on those plates. It's a government issue, you a tampering with their property. Even panel beaters can't hammer out a plate if its been dinged in an accident, they have to get plate re issued. I'll keep running it like that as long as I can. Be awesome if p plates could come out with a black edition reflective plate. ---------- Post added 26-01-13 at 10:44 ---------- pictures of the rocker covers painted. cant really see but i put pearl through the black, shows up nice in the sun. Did them gloss rather than satin as its hard to wipe off oil from satin finish. Had fittings welded on front for the catch can lines and had oil filled welded in. Re-did the manifold silver too, black didnt suit it. really need to wrap the headers or paint them, they look crap and the under bonnet heat is in sane. and side shot, cause i can Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Rockers look ace bro! As for the headers, HPC all the way. My old headers used to get the firewall up to 100 degrees. The new hpc coated pacemakers keep it a sihtload cooler.

cheers guys. I would love to have them HPC'd but the cost of that is stupid money. Ill heat proof paint em and wrap them, even though the heat wrap can be ugly looking after a while.

took wagon to meremere on saturday, was expecting a mid 16, but walked away with flat 15, pretty happy with that. Plenty more in her. Wife got to have a good past too, couple pics of her pedaling against another VK wagon. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Also you should take the headers off and buy some black heat resist paint and do that will make a big difference, did that in my old vl turbo didnt burn off or anything. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

they sure stood out thats for sure, 20" too.235/30/20 rubber bands. yeah i do intend on doing the headers in black and wrapping them, got the stuff here but to be honest its a major to get exhaust off to wrap em, would be only worth doing if i took motor out at some stage.
