reckon a VL with a worn clutch would do well Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Decided to take my car on Friday to Meremere to have a bit of fun and see what it could do not knowing a few other from CT would be there having a run aswell. Traction was the biggest problem of the night for me with some really old 205 semi slicks not helping the cause. Started with a couple of mid to high 13's and managed to drop it as the night went on. The final run of the night resulted in a 12.95 @ 184kph (114mph) which I was pretty happy with considering the lack of traction and a pretty standard engine (RB26) & manual box. Big thanks to Kelvin for the use of the jack etc to change tyres even though it took me an hour (their goes my ambition of being a V8 supercar pitcrew member ) Sorry to hear about your car if you had known earlier I could have helped as I had a couple of spare sets of plugs. Hopefully the next time I give it a go I will get some fresh rubber and a few other tweaks to improve on the time. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

sweet matt, thats an awesome time, was quite entertaining watching you skate down the track trying to get traction.12.95 is a very good time. You have got the best time so far out of the Hybrid VLs. more intertaining was watching you change the wheels over, dont expect a call from the V8 boys anytime soon...lol Thanks for use of your tools aswell mate.Hopefully see you again soon.

Good to see some quicker times coming through though.

GT35, 18 psi, small Nizpro cam, JD Custom plenum, ET streets (280RWKW) My brother should be on the list also..... he did a 13.6 years ago in his VLT, that was using 2nd gear off the line too. ---------- Post added 20-03-11 at 09:44 ---------- 11's is pretty slow these days aye. Ive thought several times that I should do a cheap drag shell and use my motor in it, but I cant afford to circuit race and drag race
