Just got back from a ride.. Went out with a mate with a crf450x 2010 model & he attacked a puddle the wrong way & ended up with the bike ontop of him & he was completely submerged for a bit, NOT GOOD because we had just gone down an epic downhill trail full of mud puddles, couldn't get the bike to run & I stupidly left my plug spanner at the car like 10km away so had to walk the bike the whole way up hill for ages and ages until we found a road we could get the car to. Lucky we are not still there.

should have my bike back very soon, is getitng a full rebuild after one of the thrust washers that are either side of the rod on the crank decided to let go and got jammed, and did a very good job of ****ing the piston and bore before it jammed it self. spewing as its only a 2 yr old bike. should be a weapon when its back, went bit of a higher compression while i had the chance.

Changes gears nice and smoothly, but i think it needs a cluch kit put through it has it has a little surge forward when taking off. Other than that its all good times, 3rd gear coming out of a corner turned into 3rd gear mono with me sticking the left boot as far forward as i could to balance it up.....**** i have missed riding.

Went to this ride last weekend, Good trails heaps of different options Pitty my camera was flat as soon as I got there but you can see its pretty popular up here. ---------- Post added 13-11-10 at 20:45 ---------- Heres some pics I stole off another forum of the ride. ---------- Post added 13-11-10 at 20:46 ---------- ---------- Post added 13-11-10 at 20:49 ---------- They had a 20 odd km trail long loop with a few options on the way. then like half an hour short loops as well had a novice / kids course & they have a pwee track as well. Heaps of blokes willing to lend a hand, came across a bloke who lost his front sprocket a good 5km away from help dang! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Went out to Gnangara pines on saturday for a bit of a ride. not bad for getting back into riding again, but it can see myself getting bored of riding it all the time. Plus it looks like a phucking tip out there.....got the bike up to aroun 110 - 120 according to McDarragh's bike.....it loved it hahahha..... Myself and McDarragh will be heading out again this saturday. aiming to get out there early to beat the heat (say about 8am). But im keen to head out to lancelin for a weekend of riding sometime in the new year, possibly even this year. Would be good to get a crew together and head up.

went out on the weekend....45 mins to get the bikes ready, then 25 mins to get out to gnangara, then 20 mins worth of riding due to the fact that i stacked it and snapped the clutch lever. That was actually bearable as i could still ride, it was the shearing of the kick starter that phucked the rest of the day....$15 for a lever and everyone wants around $230 for a kick starter.

I was 25km into deep bush when I got my mates bike bogged in a hole.. got the thing started after about an hour it had heaps of fuel in the cylinder which was out of the ordinary Then I hop on my bike to ride it through the same hole and the clutch cable snapped. So basically rode for 25km through all types of **** with no neutral & no clutch! If I stalled it I had to push start it so I was going like a bat out of hell my mate could barely keep up. Good times had by all.

Holy **** man, that blows. on a lighter note i managed to find a 1999 RMX250 kick starter. fits well and was half the price (it was second hand, so it was a gamble). I also ordered a few things online from rocky mountain atv......ordered a new clutch kit (Tusk kit with heavy duty springs). Has mixed reviews, some say its pretty decent and others say it wasnt that good. But for $46AUS i thought i was worth the gamble. Comes with all fibres and the steel plates. Also ordered a WISECO pro lite top end rebuild kit, $102. It doesnt come with the wrist pin bearing for some reason even though the wrist pin is included in the kit. the bearing was only $13 though. Kit has piston, both rings and wrist pin. And also ordered a top end gasket kit. Once again its a tusk and from what i have read they are pretty reliable. and ordered some renthal dual compound grips while i was there. This just arrived at my work (only 5 days after ordering it). All up it cost $249.95 including delivery. pretty stoked about the price. I would recommend checking it out.
