So done a little research on the BBS's I have: 2 x 8j16 et42 RS322 2 x 9j16 et40 RS323 Stud pattern is actually 5 x 114.3 But I';ve found someone to drill them and repaint them... thinking Rose Gold whats everyone's thoughts? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

so its cold and wet and i'm working a 3 hour round trip from home so nothing new has been happening but... De-stickered and black venetians stripped, cleaned and reglued some capreted kick panels - parted and then paint stripped the bbs's and hand cleaned 132 bolts and 132 nuts. Also a few weeks back I got these - I've been toying with ideas on how to make these stronger for ages. I wanted to fibreglass mould some new ones, dad wants to dynamat them, (but they'd still look rubbish) and most people just carpet them. I picked up some genuine A9Y ones but they are a bit beat but I've decided I'm going to do my own. these now have 2 layers of resin and fibreglass matting on the back and are going to cop a carpeted front. First time glassing but these are already feeling stronger so mission accomplished.

VLWAGONIT - to my knowledge yes all a9y's should have been carpeted from factory. not the VL but the VY has copped some loving recently. I upgraded the soundsystem so I got off my bum on Saturday and fixed a few rattles in the front doors and the tailgate. I added a few kg of dynarmat, an entire bag of foam off-cuts from clark rubber and about 7 meters of foam tape. Mission accomplished. Monday she got a hand wash, claybar and polish.

same as kick panels so same as cargo area carpet? its not as thick though. almost a mirror image of the kick panels. I'll get a photo. i assumed everyone knew that VLC s/w's had carpeted rears.... maybe i'm dreaming?

got some but not grey. I'll source a few for you just hassle me so i remember. Did some backspace measurement tonight. my momos are 16 x 8 and have a 6" backspace simmons 5.5" backspace walkies 5" Now the BBS's will have a 6" front and a 6.5" rear backspace the rears will just poke the arches and the fronts hellaflush. I've just picked up some 1.5" lips so i can boost the rears by .5" out and the fronts by .5 inch out aswell if i want. undecided yet. So i was feeling a bit sketchy about these measurements. I sat the car down no wheels on the ground and did more measurements. 7.75" backspace in the wheelwells! Epic win! theres 7.75" backspace either side as the car is currentky setup (adjustable panhard rod) So these will fit!!! So stoked!

awesome build mate, getting another wagon this weekend and getting stuck right into it. Just a question regarding the winding back of the odometer, is this legal? ie. going for registration checks and vehicle records? cheers james

hi james, its illegal to sell the vehicle or pass it off as having less than it does however i don't intend on selling this car. I should have put a wound back clock in when it was registered as the body would have whatever the odo in storage had on it and the engine whatever was displayed. so yes and no. its not an issue until you sell it.
