i didnt remove them personally, and not too sure about the original owners. I was wondering what those holes were there for, i though maybe the police had other stuff screwed onto the trims. Thanks for that aus.

At first I thought it was a turbo timer but than looked closer and wasnt. Says Siren timer and sensitivity underneath whith little knobs. Any ideas Russ? might bring mine up there if i can be bothered washing it as its my daily, its a totally stock never modded at all calais turbo factory 5 speed, with sunroof, factory lsd and momo stars, even has the original tape deck in working order.Interior and body is all mint!it really is a awsome everydayer!cruise control, air con etc all still work perfect.Only thing i wanna do to it is paint the lower half silver and for some reason it has an le rear bar extension which im gonna take off.looks very much like mz vl turbos old white calais atm.Next time i wash it,ill take some pics, tho i dont keep it looking real clean from the outside as it gets parked everywhere around sydney an it doesnt attract much attention the way it is.

Had a win yesterday ! Turbo wagon rear exhaust and tailpipe are still available from Holden ! I should have it here on Monday so can use it as a template to get a 2.5" kickup made up for the Calais. Why have I got this sinking feeling though that it'll be a straight tail pipe setup as shown in all that current aftermarket catalogues ?!

While you're there, can you also check for me if they have the turbo sedan exhaust and tailpipe, although i'm sure you already know this answer. Also, does anyone know if holden still stock the balancing lead weights? I had a look at my barely used spare and found this: Wouldn't mind getting these on with all my other wheels as i am due for a new set of tyres. . Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Also, does the new one you received have GMH stamped on the muffler? Edit: actually, i think you are referring to the exhaust pipe pointing from left to right when looking at it from behind, i don't think mine does that. Might inquire about the exhausts one of these days I'm guessing they didn't make as many turbo wagons as they'd originally planned to still have stock from 1986. A lot of the GM "original" parts have either been remanufactured as spares at a later date or are just not really original, like the water inlet and outlet flanges for the radiator on the engine. Holden have replaced them with some cast slab of metal rather than the nice shiny cad plated ones you buy from Nissan. They were new tech for a Holden back then at least and it upset more than a few people that the old 202 boat anchor was no more. Thanks for the pics and the confirmation of the cut-off tip. They'll come in handy for making up something for my sedan. Yeah, I was referring to the angle at which the exhaust pipe comes out of the muffler. Must be peculiar to wagons as they specify them having a different rear muffler assembly than the sedans. I thought it might just have been how they were mounted but that all looks the same. How on earth does your still have the original exhaust ? Excellent to see. My first rear muffler shook itself to death back in January 1991 at 126,000km's. Matter of fact it was the first "extra" work done on the car outside of normal servicing. Here's the date stamp - Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
