You need 2 of these, and the "black box" piece... Hopefully these show it clear enough... When putting the tank back in, make sure the hoses dont get squished against the boot floor as you wont be able to fill the tank up properly and it will spill out all over the rear quarter Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The small hoses go between the chassis rail and the tank, but the big hose goes through the chassis rail. Kink the big hose and you will have all sorts of issues with your fuel tank. It is really easy to kink. (Firstly: jack car up off ground, remove RR wheel and the panel that hides the breather hoses)I've found the best way to make sure it's fitted correctly is to fit the hose to the tank first then feed it through the rail. Don't attach the other end of the hose to fuel filler neck just yet. Manhandle the tank into position, install the straps, but only bolt them on at the front of the car. Using a jack to support the tank helps, but the semi installed straps should take most the weight. Lift the tank as high as you can, but low enough to see where the hose goes through the chassis (use a torch). Give the free end of the hose a good firm tug (not your hose...) and make sure it straightens out nicely. If you have a helper, get them to hold the free end of the hose, keeping it a little taut, while you push the tank into the final position and bolt it up. It is possible to do all this on your own (I did), but having a helper would, er, help. Then you can attach the breather hose to the filler neck. You don't need to run a charcoal canister. I don't and don't have any issue with fuel smells.

hey guys there is a hose that comes off the chassis rail and goes up by the top of the fuel tank pipe neck where does this attach to? Is this there pipe in dans picture that finishes out of the picture?

The pipe which finishes out of picture is (I think) like an overflow pipe? It runs down inside the rear wheel arch towards the ground so if it does overfill, it just spills onto the ground. I may be wrong on this, but thats how mine came out so I put it back the same.

Is this there pipe in dans picture that finishes out of the picture? Are you talking about the pipe in the bottom right hand corner of the second pic? If so, this is the overflow, and it actually attaches to the fuel tank. If you are looking at the fuel tank from the rear of the car, there are some clips half way along the back side and right hand side of the tank. The hose simply pushes into these. The open end of the hose finishes on the end of the tank.

this pipe here im lost on where this goes to, by the looks of it the metal pipe runs all the way under car to the front with other fuel lines Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If it runs to the front of your car it was probably connected to the charcoal canister (emissions crap) See if you can trace it to the front, if its not being used I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Never seen one of them before. There certainly isn't one in my car, but I think my car was NZ assembled, so they probably didn't worry about that sort of thing. I reckon Dan is right, don't think you'll have any issues by removing it.
