finally got my 90 liter drop tank painted silver today, looks freaking mean, can't wait to fit it tomorrow, got all the breather pipes plumbed up today
---------- Post added 06-11-11 at 13:24 ----------
Hey guys and girls, fitted up drop tank today took 4 hours by myself but definately worth it!!! Replaced all the fuel lines now my fuel pump is quite loud and can be heard well over the motor, not sure if this is what happens when you replace all fuel and breather lines? But here are some pics anyways:

Loud fuel pump means its probably not going to last very long...
I think there is some additive you can chuck in the tank to help quiet it down abit, but youd be better off throwing a brand new pump on and know you wont have a problem.
Tank does look very good though

check the rubbers where the pump mounts it might just be a vibration . im guessing you had the pump off when putting in the tank so it might of goten disturbed then.

Is the pump leaning against the body?Seems odd that it has just started as soon as you changed the tank??How many pumps do they have?Ours has an intank as well as the mechanical one at the front(V8)Plus they are not cheap.I replace the one in Dans car before we sold it.
Cheers Marty
ps it does look good(your new Tank!)

Which fuel pump is the noisy one? There is the small in-tank one, then there is the big one just outside of the tank. I got a new 500hp pump fitted as part of my conversion, and it is noisy as hell. Sounds like a swarm of pi55ed off wasps underneath the car! My exhaust is pretty quiet, but when the car is running you can only just hear the pump.

sounds like you might need a louder exhaust to drown out the pump noise
