Thanks mate did you notice when you fitted it the car is a lot harder to push like there's something dragging in the glide it has loosened up a little but there is still some resistance there maybe it's tight clearences from being a fresh box ? any help would be great cheers

Mines whiney too in park/neutral. Sorry to hijack the thread but any of you guys running a different first gear? Had a OEM 1.76 in mine but needs to be replaced so im thinking of maybe going a 1.80? Also if anyone can put me on what item they have purchased that would be awesome

mine wasn't noisy in any gear, doesn't sound right to me but i could be wrong, has the box got straight cut gears?

Nah you can get aftermarket straight cut gear sets to make them handle a lot of horsepower. favtory they come out with helical gear sets which aren't noisy

I was told the noise came from the pump, they have a gear type pump not vane like some other boxes. It's the straight cut gears in the pump making the noise. I am definatly not a gearbox expert though so not sure if this is true or not. Mine has done it since the day it was built and I have never had an issue with it
