kirkey seats in vl

hey guys anyone that has fitted kirkey seats in a vl. just trying to suss out how there bolt down to the car. and if you use vl runners also for andra tech can the seats slide back and fourth. as im aware the seats cant be tilted. and has to be fixed back cheers guys

not a direct answer to your question, but in the past on my first VL wayyyy back in 2004ish, i fitted an autotechnica reclining seat into my VL by using the existing rails, and i had to grind off the side bits that fit around the factory seat and then used 2x strips of steel which i bolted to the seat and then to the factory rails. That left me with the factory sliding as well. I currently have VS Caprice seats in mine, the guy i bought them off welded the caprice rail or upper rails to VL lower . I believe the late model VL's had detachable rails from the seats that would be what you would want, but i doubt you will find a bolt in kit... prob need to get some metal and drill some holes Edit : just re-read your question, and seems you might be after some more detail re. racing rules... sorry for jumping the gun, you prob know all of what i just said.

Can't use VL rails, need to make new brackets.

Allan how are ya mate vls looking good bro I was having this conversation with Trevor Kirkey needs to be welded in just make sure it's in the right position for ya first hehe
