Which one would need replacing first when going for more power? Also been told I could do without one of them.... external maybe? And does anyone have suggestions of what to get?

If you're increasing the power and building a fuel system on a 30-yr old car, it would probably be advisable to go through the whole lot and replace both pumps along with lines and filters. Would not be very good to lose a motor due to a faulty $250 pump with 30 years on its neck.

You can upgrade the external fuel pump, but you won't really gain anything unless you have bigger lines, regulator, injectors and ECU Search Bosch 044 or 040 everybody uses them in the car scene

Just go an aeromotive intank pump, no need for a surge tank or loud 044s these days.

Ok, cool, thanks guys. BTW, not going for huge power. Hopefully just something like 200-220rwkw...

Anything else holding me back from, or I should be replacing, for 200-220rwkw? I have a Power FC (not installed or tuned yet), and a front mount cooler.... otherwise stock RB25det...
