help where this bracket goes

hey guys sorry for the silly question tried searching and read the gregories manual but just want to know where this bracket goes and what its for. it was sitting loose inside my engine bay near the water squirters. if anyone could help would be much appreciated cheers. surely someones dealt with it before working on the engine if not ill have to keep it around.

Look like a bracket that your wiring harness would like into or something similar... Best I can do until I'm near my car tonight Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

looks like it could be the hook for the d shackle when you lift the engine out with an engine crane there in two corners of the motor one is at the back of the motor on the exhaust side above the heat shield the other is at the front above the radiator hose but I could be wrong?

I think that is a bracket that holds the power steering line to the sump It can't be though cause it wouldn't have found its way up higher

Auto trans shift cable support bracket or dipstick tube ??

for sure it bolts to the sump on the drivers side towards the front of the engine and auto trans cooler lines bolt to it.

thanks to both above posts it was the auto trans line bracket however there gone now since it manual cheers heaps. theres so many little bits and pieces to find and put back on thanks

Ah that explains why I have heaps of them on my parts container and none on my cars cause they're all manuals
