A thread for any questions regarding, or related to forged motors. Would be interested to hear the different setups people are running, and how much power they're making. ---------- Post added 18-11-15 at 21:32 ---------- I'll start by asking what oil pumps people are using on they're motors. Looking at getting a Tomei for my new motor, but would like to know if there are others people are using successfully before I drop 2k.

Yeah N1 is cheap, or a normal RB25 if fine. The main problem is the harmonics they get in the RB30 block around 7500rpm - which will wreck most pumps over time, unless you use a good balancer and crank collar ($125). Lewis engines do a race style RB25 pump with new billet gears for around 500, or you can go the nitto pumps for about 1300.

Awesome will look into an N1, cheers guys. Is it worth putting billet gears in it? You guys are running a bit of power right? What headwork have you done?

I had a n1 pump and got Lewis engines to fit billet gears and setup relief pressure, also using a extended crank collar

I'm still running a stock standard VLT pump, with lewis engines sump. So far oil delivery hasn't been an issue, and my rpm is fine so I'm continuing with it. I dont think I'll break a pump with the power I'm making at present.
