Hi guy, Just really wounding how to get into a Car Club and get the plates for my car, I don't really get my VL out beside on the weekends and my rego is due soon so i wanted to apply for a car club, I understand that i need to get in contact with a Car Club president and get it approved by him and have a RWC but who around The Mornington Pensulia is good or Melbourne, are the clubs "car specially" or its just anyone goes?!

some are specialist. some are anything goes theres a list on the unique cars and shannons websites. up east theres cardinia i believe in Lilydale and Kinglake car clubs. they take anything so I've heard. theres a risk with that however as many clubs are under investigation and if they have their ability to issue permits taken from them every single member loses their rego. also most specialty clubs require a waiting period prior to being elligible for approval. ---------- Post added 09-11-15 at 14:19 ---------- I've had a look at your build thread. i guess you are 20 - 21. that'll be a big risk for most clubs apart from the ones detailed. the car looks nice though and legal which is a plus!

just to clarify something i run the cardinia car club and we do not just take anything. car has to have a rwc and i still have a look to make sure its nothing silly. i have been checked out by vicroads and they have passed me with no issues, all money collected in membership is donated to charities as we are non for profit.
