hey guys, ive been building my vl for a few years now and heading into the final stages of fnishing. The whole time building i was planning to just set it all up myself then send it away to get the final tune and dyno run at maatouks or something. I have a microtech lt8s and harness to suit, recently i have looked into online courses to learn how to tune yourself, i was wandering if anyone would know if it would be possible to buy a program and tune the car myself in my garage once i completed a course and knew what i was doing. any feedback on risks taking in doing this or reasons why and why not to do this would be very much appreciated thankyou.

You will need to use the Microtech Software/serial lead/laptop or a hand controller to tune the Microtech ECU. If you have a good working knowledge of engines, WOT tuning isn't a complicated process. Having access to a dyno or risking it on the road, part throttle/idle and all the other bits and pieces. The biggest risk is killing your engine. Unless you are passionate about learning about it, I would pay the $500 or whatever it is for Maatouks or the like to do it for you.
