hi all, first post on here And from all my google searches this forum seems to be full of knowledgeable people. I have a rb30et which I wired a lt16 microtech onto, when I first got it running it had a slight miss which got worse and worse until it was almost undriveable, 2 months later after changing and replacing nearly everything under the bonnet I tried a 3rd dizzy which made the car run great and without a miss for almost an hour then all of a sudden it started to slightly miss again. When the slight miss starts its only around 2000rpm and every 10 seconds or so then becomes more and more common and larger until it happens on idle all the way to 3000rpm I never had any misses before fitting the microtech so im wondering if the microtech could be causing my dizzy to slowly create a miss which gets worse and worse over a couple of hundred kms until it becomes undriveable? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I remember with the haltechs they had a signal filter from the dizzy and that was getting feedback when it shouldn't of been - disabled the signal filter and it was alright after that.

Thanks morgz, I sent the ecu back for a check this morning so I will ask him about a signal filter when I speak to him. Anyone else had these dramas before?

have you checked the wiring to the dizzy? It is common for the wiring to break near the plug.

Turns out the miss has been caused by my tacho wiring, I had the standard tacho wired into the negative side of the coil and once I cut the wire and am running no tacho it seems to be fine. Does anyone know how I should go about wiring my standard tacho directly without using the standard dash wiring?? Thanks
