Hey guys just had head reconditioned polished ported and bigger valves inlet and exhausts added a tx1 cam shaft and valve springs fitted the head with mls head gasket etc. Timing belt timing correct marks and at 53 teeth! Fitted dizzy correctly to factory marks (and same marks i made before dismantling. When i Started it i bearly idled and would not rev straight away felt like timing was retarded checked with timing light and it was and tried to advance and ran out of adjustment but ran better and revved so advanced it one tooth on dizzy got it close by ear at idle and rpm is good and revs cleanly off idle but cant get it close to factory marks ! It show way advanced on factory marks will i need a adjustable cam gear? Just want it close to i can drive it to the dyno tuner Cheers ---------- Post added 25-01-15 at 15:29 ---------- Are u able to go by the standard timing marks or not coz of the cam grind?

your a tooth out on the timing belt if you run out of adjustment. count 53 notches or low spots as the gears don't start at a tooth, they start on a step/notch.
